I only decided to insta-kill her because in all likelihood she was an assassin.

You really can't trust mages in the Berserk-verse. Have you read Berserk? They went a couple hundred chapters before finding a friendly mage. Moreover, this one was tracking Guts. The only group that's tracked Guts off the top of my head was the Holy Army that wanted to capture and execute him. The only other major force with clause to track him is the Band of the Hawk.

Secondly, Guts can cleave through magic objects pretty well. The Dragonslayer is antimagic, remember?

Which she isn't, I am pretty sure assassins do not walk up to their targets and casually complain about their technology while trying to explain things for them.

In addition, according to people who have read Berserk and to looking it up myself, the Dragonslayer is not actually antimagic, but is capable of interacting with and deflecting magical things, which is an important difference.

I'm honestly not sure what you're doing. You asked for some way to get involved in the rest of the RP and I sent an NPC to help with that, and you just posted an instant-kill and are now arguing that your route into the rest of the RP should be dead.

As a GM I don't accept instant-kill attacks on anything but mooks, and on top of that you've been insistently shooting down any attempt I make to actually get you involved, and also any ideas posted by anyone else.

At this point, I'm really questioning if you even want to be in the RP or if you just want to post strings of loosely-connecting fighting and violence.

Not to mention that it's bathed in demon blood, making it able to access the astral plane and basically make it anything but anti-magic.

In fact, the opposite.

That sort of thing could easily be some distraction tactic. Guts has dealt with flashy fighters before, namely Silat.
Secondly, the Dragonslayer has totally cut through magic before. Remember when Guts fought the Demon Sultan? He was made out of fire, and the Dragonslayer hurt him.

Also, while I really appreciate your trying to pull me into the main story and fire chick would no doubt coerce a less paranoid character, your attempts aren't tailored to Guts. Guts has spent pretty much his entire life being abused, betrayed, and otherwise tread upon. The one time he made friends, his best friend killed all his other friends and raped his girlfriend until she suffered brain damage. And after that, he got cursed to be hunted by demons. Forever. And I already said how few magic users are trustworthy.

So if you want to get Guts to not murder you, maybe you should send in somebody besides the mage, and your first words shouldn't be "Hey I was tracing you."

Hm, to have Cinder fight because of this betrayal, or to leave because the objective just got destroyed? Decision, decisions...

Sorry it took me so long to post a reply. I was waiting for some time to pass in game before posting. It's been a few years since I role played so I hope my posts don't hurt your eyes to much, hehe.

Man, that teleporting trick is annoying.

At least Kiba won't have to worry about the Grimm mindlessly attacking him anyway.

That's because it's anti-demon, not anti-magic. Apparently cutting through apostles like butter makes it even easier to cut through them.

And when it comes to 'getting involved with the rest of the RP at all', I've always held to fudging accurate characterisation as more important than trying to fit events to the characters. Especially when you need intimate knowledge of an enormous manga to actually begin to try and work out what might possibly not get a vicious response, given that your choices are 'far too advanced technology that seems like magic' or 'magic'. <.<

Characterization is important. There wouldn't be any point in playing an established character if you didn't hold it to a certain degree of accuracy.
Also, I just said that it's not terribly hard to get Guts to not want to murder you. Just don't be a wizard. At the very least, don't immediately flaunt your wizardry or advanced technology. You'd think that would be a general rule, considering the generally widely varying technological levels and hostility towards witchcraft between worlds.

Lastly, you don't need an encyclopedic knowledge of Berserk like mine to know that Dragonslayer, the magic-cutting sword, is capable of cutting magic. The Demon Sultan Guts stabbed was a projection made out of magic.

Or... make things easy on the GM and play along in this one scenario, rather than requiring exhaustingly prepared work for the necessary task of 'get Guts to be where literally anyone else is. Better than falling into a random dimensional hole.

Key word here: demon. The Dragonslayer is anti-demonic, it is not Imagine Breaker or Asuna from Negima. Any supposed anti-magic properties that come from dealing with the apostles are more down to it being an anti-apostle (and thus equivalent to anti-demon once you step back from cosmology) thing.

...Why would a sword called "DRAGONslayer" only do more damage to demons?

The Dragonslayer has been carving apart demons for so long that it pretty much became specialized in that sort of thing

Berserk's demons (called Apostles there) originate from the astral realm and Guts' sword is getting closer to that realm, which makes cutting astral beings easier for him

You don't need exhaustively prepared work to type up a nonmagical NPC. Like, you do what you do for a magical one, but make them not magic. If for whatever reason Vita had trouble figuring out what kind of NPC would work best for coercing Guts, there was always just the option of asking the guy who reads Berserk and is also playing him.

Also, 'Demon Sultan' is a nickname. Magic in the Berserk-verse is not classified as "good" or "evil" or "demonic" or whatever. If it's magic, it's magic, regardless of origin. Apostles are magic; constructs are magic; spells are magic. And the Dragonslayer is able to cut through it, even though a normal chunk of steel shouldn't be able to. The sword's at LEAST as good as, if not better than, a 100% magical weapon made by a crazy powerful witch.
Bathing the Dragonslayer in Apostle and demon blood lets it cut through magic, and Guts has also killed numerous supernatural creatures besides just apostles.
