I believe the potential issue was time travel as a plot point (something Ruby and I are both a bit iffy on, but by no means is it banned) rather than the character not fitting in.

The main point to take from this discussion is no matter what Ruby and I may offer as an opinion, it will be 'very' obvious if we're banning a character, which as you can see, we haven't.
