Dmitri had finished his magical attack, and then he saw something shimmering to his left,  heard it too. But he heard something off to the sidr of that as well. Dmitri raised his left arm as if in a back-knuckle punch, just in time for the metallic sound of a blade clanging against it. He then swung DragonWhisker from right to left at his opponent's right shoulder, and felt a massive burst of pain in his ribs. It must have been a knife. It wouldnt be hindering his attsck though, it hadnt hit him soon enough, and his blade was soaring towards his foe's shoulder. This would be a very crippling blow to his opponent, having both his arms damaged. But Dmitri didnt know how bad his own injury was, as he couldnt look at the moment, but he wasnt having difficulty breathing, maybe a rib stopped the blade from puncturing a lung? Or maybe it hasnt had its affect on him yet.
