WIP because I ran out of time. Will try and finish it off tomorrow. :-/ Name: John MacIntyre Alias: Mac, or 'Old MacDonald' Nationality: Dual Nationality; English-American Gender: Male Age: 44 Appearance: Height/Build: 5' 9", Quite solid, muscular build. Thick limbs and neck. Good muscular definition. Square jaw and angular, rugged features. Skin tone/colour: Somewhat tanned and weathered Caucasian skin from a lifetime of outdoor work and recreation. Hair colour and Style: Short, choppy dark brown hair. Receding a little at the front into a widow's peak, with a high percentage of grey shot through it. Temples are greying especially. Has a rough goatee and moustache. Eye colour: Green-brown eyes, no regular eyewear. Scars/tattoos/birth-signs: Small scar on left cheek, vertical. About .5" long, running from jawline up. Tattoo of a tribal-style fox on left bicep, tail curls around his arm and ends above elbow. Fashion: Tends toward clothing that is tough and practical, such as Dickies or other style 'work-wear', or clothing that looks inconspicuous, but is designed for miltiary work, such as the 5.11 range. Wears things lik caterpillar-style boots, cargo/combat style trousers, checked shirts, soft-shell or flying-type jackets etc. Voice: Fairly deep and rough, but has an edge of humour and enthusiasm to it. Tends to be very flat and quiet when he's angry, instead of loud. Personality: Pretty easy-going and laid back guy for the most part, but keenly intelligent and attentive. Good listener and very curious, will ask questions for clarification rather than be ignorant or assuming, even if it makes things awkward. If accused of being stupid for doing so, will shrug it off and point out how stupid it'd be to not know in the first place. Has little room for those who are unwilling to accept others on whatever basis or prejudice - will be politely dismissive of them, and will separate himself from them, unless forced to work with them. Has a pretty good sense of humour otherwise, enthusiastic and positive about life in general. Always curious to try new tasks and challenges, but can get frustrated sometimes, especially when forced into a difficult situation he can't control or assist in. Values honesty, loyalty and openness in others, despise manipulative people and those who take advantage of others. Will treat them harshly and coldly. Biography: John's live was relatively uneventful. He joined the British Army as a teenager out of school, as he wasn't sure what he wanted to do with his life, but had good grades. His parents worked in completely different professions: His Dad worked as a crane driver at Southampton Docks, and his mother was a school teacher. He did well in testing on entry, and his intelligence and aptitude were noted, and as such he did very well, and achieved a lot. Initially training as an infantryman, he fought well in the field and was very good at interacting with civilians and gaining their confidence and understanding, and was frequently requested for 'hearts and minds' patrols and jobs. This lead to him being scouted for MI6, which in turn lead to his inclusion in the programme, after some further training in psychology, observation, interrogation and 'human intelligence' gathering. During his time in service with the Army, he met and fell in love with a woman by the name of Amy Dunham while on leave. An American Journalist, the pair hit it off despite sparks flying at first, and after further meetings on his periods of leave, they decided to get married. The wedding was not lavish, but was grand enough, and their honeymoon in the Caribbean was idyllic. However, in the following years things turned sour as John's career with MI6 took him away from home more and more often, and their marriage became strained. Finally, they split up after his return over a Christmas period, when he found she had been cheating on him for the past several months. Strained emotionally and mentally, he took compassionate leave for several weeks, and it was during this time he accepted the offer to work for the UN programme. Tired of spending so much time abroad and wishing to return to having some link with home, he accepted the offer and returned to the UK. There, he returned to the roots of his mothers' side of the family, and took a job as a school counselor in a secondary school in Hampshire. Based in the Portsmouth area, he was well located close to main military installations of a sensitive nature, as well as being close to the countryside to practice his fieldcraft, and as location for caches of supplies and equipment.
