[U]Personality :[/U] Maria exudes an inviting aura of friendliness. She loves a good joke though like most jokers prefers to be the instigator rather than the target. She is always in motion finding inaction virtual torture.

[U]History :[/U]Maria's mother is the choreographer of a Las Vegas show but was a Showgirl when she met and fell in love with the God Hermes. After a whirlwind romance the showgirl and god parted company to occasionally get back together when he came to Vegas.

When Maria's mother told Hermes that she was pregnant he proved very supportive but had to tell her that he could no longer be seen with her or she and his daughter could be in danger. Before he left he did set her up with a very nice trust fund to take care of her and his daughter.

Maria grew up in the strange world of Las Vegas entertainment learning skills few children ever even thought of, such as how to palm card or escape from handcuffs. She also attended a very modern and progressive private school where she excelled. 

When she was 10 Maria discovered her talent for being able to unlock any door or padlock by simply concentrating. At 12 she began sensing and avoiding the complex security systems of the Vegas Casinos as second nature. But it was when she was 14 that she found out that she could break any runner's time at any distance. This was the sign that it was time for her to attend Camp Half Blood so she would expose her statu as a Demi Goddess, that was two years ago.
