Ascot accepted Satoko's triade with something resembling serenity, and repsonded: "As someone wise once said; 'my friends are my power, and I am theirs'. As for 'never', " spoke the boy, "I will never give up on trying to change you!" He then moved to smash Satoko's guan dao aside and pummel her to unconciousness, but then, Darkness, Capital-D Darkness of a type that he hadn't experienced before, slammed into him, shattering his Avatar form and knocking Satoko aside. The man, a man who, from Ascot's observations, had enough power to be an Evil Overlord in his own right, began talking, revealing a wide store of knowledge about the group, knowledge that Ascot stored for further use. So, Belle doubted herself, and Oner and Reno were one person? All that was good to know, yet, nevertheless, he had to get up, he must continue the fight... Ascot screamed in distress when Necro (not that he knew his name) extracted the Sign from Amaya's body. Joshua and Rose were distressed, too, and the latter tried to kill the Evil Overlord, yet failed. So, the group were slated for another battle once the Six Senses have been defeated? Good and bad to know. Ascot would have pondered this further, if not for the fact that Oner had taken him from the battle and started healing him. The boy listened to Oner's words, and knew that trying to intimidate Satoko was the wrong approach. So, he forced himself back to his feet, ignoring the remaining sting from his burns as well as his fatigue. "No," spoke Ascot. "I'm continuing the fight. Satoko wants to continue as well. As I said, I'm not giving up on trying to change her; because..." he said, facing Satoko directly, "my destiny is to reach out, and form new connections, and keep on doing so till the day that I die. And I will keep on forming new connections, because that's the right thing to do." He then waited for Satoko's rage.
