[@SimplyJohn] I was going to say, if he hadn't taken the IDL into account wouldn't that make him two days early, presuming he'd travelled West to get to Hong Kong? (Unless for some reason he travelled East, three-quarters of the way round the world, to get there from the middle of the Pacific.)
