Because for various reasons to great to explain, the simple reason is that's not why I roleplay. In a RP such as this where the connections of the Jedi and the Sith as orders, and with the Force romance shouldn't really be a factor. With it it's not why I'm here, I'm not here to read about someone hitting on someone else or feeling them up or gazing lovingly into their eyes. I don't mind it being in the shadows, the occasional look and what not but the second it turns to full blown romance I typically drop because I don't like reading that kinda stuff.
Love has proven time and again (Anakin Skywalker, Jacen Solo, Tahiri Veila, etc.) to be one of the fastest routes to the Dark Side. Not only does it engender fear of loss, jealousy and envy towards others it can also quickly be perverted into hate when feelings aren't reciprocated. Too often Jedi overlook this avenue to the Dark while concentrating on the more obvious pain and hatred as causes for falls. Love can also be used as a positive reinforcement for negative actions, when a person is rewarded with the feelings of gratitude and affection from the person with whom they are in love after having committed atrocities in their name. Something the Sith could easily use on some of the young and impressionable teenaged Padawan now in their clutches. And remember, a lot of these Jedi seem to have had no experience with sex or physical intimacy of any kind, and that could be just the weakness the Sith may exploit in order to turn a promising young Jedi to the Dark Side. Seduction is often the way of the Sith after all, offering something which a Jedi feels they can find nowhere else. Having considered the matter, the whole 'separating younglings from their families' would often create abandonment issues in even the youngest of recruits, giving any half-decent Sith an easy avenue to seducing a Padawan, simply by giving them a parent figure onto which they can latch. That's probably why the older Jedi, prior to the Old Sith Wars used the Master-Apprentice model for training, rather than the classroom system used by the Jedi during the Old Republic era, since it would make the Master into the parent figure the Apprentice so needed due to the forced estrangement from their families and protecting them from undue influences from outside the Order.
