I love how this is like an advanced rp cause yall love dem looooong posts.
Anyway, my post will come when all tge characters are confirmed to post. Any newcommers will be left to the mercy of the court. And im the judge (everyone else is a jury so there's that.)
Feather Daze Dash- While mounted on his steed Rinn charges his opponent with blazing speed and strikes, not with his lance, but with the armored beak of Al'durian. The sheer force of the blow leaves his opponent stunned and dazed.
Bob and Weave- In lieu of his standard charging assualts Rinn and Al'durian dance around the battlefield making it difficult to be targeted. While this may seem as nothing more than a simple diversion tactic, it also provides ample time for Rinn to analyze his surrounding taking in every possible advantage before he moves in for the attack.
Pinning Thrust- Sizing the perfect oppertunity Rinn thrusts his lance towards his opponent pinning them where they stand. Weither it is the tender flesh or giving cloth as long as the object behind them is sturdy enough they will not move from where they stand.
Al'durian's Gift- Al'durian is a rare chocobo within the Valerian kingdom being the only White Chocobo known to exist. Being one of a rare breed she is the only chocobo known to cast white magic, one such gift is the ability to restore the health and mana of Rinn and his companions.
Either atop Al'durian or on the ground Rinn strikes his opponents with his lance, either thrusting it into flesh or slashing through it.
Skills:
-Military Tactics: Rinn by nature of his occupation is a master tactitican able to read any situation and turn it into an advantage for him and his team. While his profession is mainly that of a supporting nature it gives him a unique perspective on combat.
-Geography and Mapping: Because of the terrain that he must normally cover on a regular basis Rinn is able to memorize terrain accuratly and record it just as accurately to within 1/10 of a mile.
-"Pet Care": While he would never acutally refer to her as a "pet", Rinn has become a master chocobo breeder and handler.
-Survivalism: Due to the fact that the Knights of the Watches territory is long and often involves long streches without seeing another tribe or town, Rinn has learned how to survive in the wilds of the world. While most of his knowledge is of the area's surrounding Valeria the basic principles remain the same.
The Kingdom of Valeria
Once a collective group of tribes which all worshiped the Korthren'dar, the current kingdom of Valeria actually refers to the grand city and subsequent keep. The abundance of chocobo's has made the bird the center of several of the major tribes and Valeria itself. Thos who are able to capture and tame the wild creatures are looked upon as some of the most important members of society with breeders a close second. Chococbo's are used in everything from pulling farming equipment to mounts within the military.
Through many years of civil war many of the numerous tribes have been compiled into two major Clans.
-The Karn'inth: Believers in the savagry of nature, the Karn'inth are the more militiristic of the clans, with shamans compreble to the Red and Black Mages of Navire. They wield elemental powers along side their chocobo counterparts. The chocobo's raised by the Karn'inth tend to be more aggressive and capable of the same aggressive magics as thier masters.
-The Shu'rin: The more gentle of the clans the Shu'rin stand as the protectors of nature and by extension the chocobo. Druids stand along side the chocobo's more focused on healing and the restoration of nature. The chocobo's raised among the Shu'rin tend to be more passive and able to cast the same restorative magics as their companions.
-Cavalier: Among the commited military force of Valeria, the Cavaliers are among the most respected. Cavaliers are chosen among the most qualified candiates to becomes knights of the relm but are not truly given the title until they are chosen by the chocobo's they will ride. With such a title comes a great deal of training and teaching that must be given, everything from history to politics is taught by Cavaliers past in order to maintain peace throughout the kingdom.
-Shaman: Masters of the ancient traditions and magics held by the first Riders, shamans are able to cast powerful elemental magic on par with the most powerful mages of the west. Their chocobo's are generally red giving them somewhere between minor and moderate fire magic.
-Druid: Centered around the protection of nature in all of it's forms, the druid is a master of protection and healing magics often relying more on their barriers and quickthinking in lieu of actual combat. Their companions are mainly green chocobos gifted with the ability of healing. A druid of Valeria believes the chocobo should not be treated as creatures of burden, but more as individuals who live amongst other.
The Torin are a race of knife-earred humanoid creatures similar to the Elvaan of lore. Born with the innate gift of nature and the ability to bond with chocobo more easily than others, they are looked upon with an almost sacred sense as they make the best breeders and tamers of the chocobo.
*stretches his arms around, making chirpy noises*Ahhh good sleep is good...
So@SiliconColt You was going to have a character in the story right?
"You underestimate my power." -A twenty something with a bad attitude once said in a predictable movie.
Oh yes, I am every character you encounter and more.
Edit: also I've tried to make the beginning bearable and much more suited to the level of posting that you all are giving me. So here's some comedy at the expense of my important NPCS.
Ah, Lumenaria isn't there at the mission briefing yet actually. She's still lamenting over the chocobos, and Archangel plans to post regarding that so I'm leaving her there till he does his "ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVIST!!!" thing with Rinn. :]
But Lume is always doing things in her own time, so being late isn't unusual for her. XD

I missed that. But i gave myself leeway with an italicized "dilly dally doers." referring to those who intend to come but have not yet arrived.
OH BTW! The bird person from the market and with the racist salesperson... this is going to be an interesting sidequest if you'd like to pursue some legal action.... except for you bird girl. You're sense of legal action is the opposite in this kingdom, suing for wrongful denial of service isn't done with battles to the bloody pulp.
With the Goblin Priest checked on my longish list of things that should be noted as "different" in a world like this one, i'd like to say that you all have like not even seen the tip of the iceburg. Well I hope i still have an unmelted plot iceberg; I've got goals to eventually break open the last can of ethnic diversity and serve it with a dish of Things-you-already-understand-IRL-but-not-by-you-IC.
One thing I keep putting off is the name of the continents and the world itself. I've been very fickle with the wording and phrases, having the generic Gaia in mind for most of it but settling no lower than freaking awesome on the scale of planetary names.
Morning one and all im currentlt working up a post... Wallas will have som insight regarding Lux Mau but not as much as the Geomancer so you can exoect a bit of info from myself also
It's a shame that a few of the initially interested people have not remained. I'd have liked to see an artistic interpretation of High Priest Childsnaken. Then again, I did adopt the tiered kingdom concept. That played a significant role in the layout of Navire's popular areas.
I wonder how differently I'd have shaped the cast if a greenmage were to appear as well. Then again the current party will be enough to get us through (SPOILER). I've driven over just a couple speed bumps in effort to adapt my original open-world-style dungeon and traveling concepts. So that more than the chocobo rider could enjoy it overland travel. (Yall get to saddle up later)
