No...I don't think so.
Roman threw a crystal towards Ruby and right before he shot at the crystal Glenda the Goodwitch appeared and parried Roman's shot. So that means the crystals are strong and durable...but if not contained there is a possibility it could explode if a weapon was strong enough to break the crystals....oh and aren't crystals just compacted dust?
