Okay first of all, they're fighting a monster right now. Does she have time to stop and smell the flowers and frollocking in poetry? How does she have time to think she's thinking about killing the monster first. 

I will redo my post nad describe the monster, but that should be up to your imagination too. I'm not the only one making up stuff here.
