Name: Fatima Ilham
Age: 26
Background: The Ilham family is one that is exceptionally old, dating back to at least the beginning of Atlas. They're from Egypt, and are based in city of Luxor. The original use of this family's magecraft was to simply harness and protect themselves from the vicious sandstorms that plague the area, which led to the creation of Fatima's Mystic Code. However, over time, they began to use Beetles for familiars. They were small little insects, so they costed barely anything, and could be useful for protection from thieves. This eventually turned into them being widely known for this familiars, and use for them by the Association from time to time.
Fatima is really no different than the rest of her family. She was practicing magecraft from a young age, developed a skill for math, as well as a desire to avoid The End. From a young age she knew her overall goal in life was to find out a way to avoid The End, and joining Atlas was just to give her some kind of backup, though everybody there shared the common goal. She really had no idea she'd become the Assistant of The Vice Director, but that was really just icing upon the cake to her. She'd never sway from her goal of trying to avoid The End.
She tried calculation after calculation, yet there never seemed to be away to avoid The End. There had to be an out for Humanity, no species as powerful and as insightful would be forced to such a terrible fate. If the answer couldn't be found by her mind and the power of Math, the answer would have to be found somewhere else. Fatima began to search far and wide for some way to gain the answer, and when she had almost given up hope, she found her answer. It was a little backwater ritual, but if the stories about it were true, then The End could truly be avoided. She began to focus more towards her magecraft and Beetle raising, and when the Command Seals appeared on her hand, her desire to get better grew. It was up to her to avoid The End. She couldn't let herself, nor humanity down.
Affiliation: Atlas
Traits: General Magecraft: Basic bounded fields, minor healing charm, and so on. The basics any magus should know.
Eastern Alchemy: The Alchemy used by all Altas Alchemists. Includes Memory Partition and Thought Acceleration. Fatima can have five partitions.
Alchemy Set: This is exactly what it sounds like.
Cursed Tablets (25): An old Hellenistic magecraft which involves the use of lead tablets. If a person's name and description and a curse is written upon a tablet, and the tablet remains unharmed, the curse will be applied to that person, and can't be removed as long as the tablet is safe. The more detailed the description of the person is, the more powerful the curse is. If a possession of the cursed person is attachted the tablet, the curse will also increase in power. A love curse requires the hair of the person.
Carving Tools: Used for cursed tablets
Familiars (Scarab Beetles): A low level familiar, almost as worthless as worms. The Ilham family has been creating and working with these Beetles from the very beginning, and specialize in their use. They're attracted to magical energy (Prana), but don't consume it like a certain Pseudo-Vampire's would. They feed off of the Prana that escapes the body, unless their eyelids are sewed. Their main use for the family over the years has been scouting out magi wanted by the Association, having them scout out towns where the magus has been rumored to live in. They obey the command of their master, which is the current head of the Ilham family, and are more or less mindless drones. They usually just hide in people's closets, and in the corners of the room nobody looks into. They're usually docile creatures, but if one in a hive is assaulted, they all begin to swarm and attack the person who could cause harm to one. Might also throw it's dung at the person. Fatima has many MANY of these with her. Calling her a freaky beetle chick wouldn't be incorrect.
Transference of Consciousness: Basic ability to use a familiar as a video-feed.
Wind Magecraft: Generic wind spells ranging from single action to ten-count. Has a charm to protect from the wind and sandstorms.
Khamsin: A Mystic Code in the shape of a Scimitar. It's purpose is to control the wind, and alter it however the user pleases. It can be from changing the way it is blowing in a sandstorm, to a more focused slashed to cut something down, to a sandstorm in itself. In case it is a dry day out, Khamsin also has the ability to create a gust of wind from itself. It can range from a light breeze, to a powerful gust meant to blow things away. The sword was created, and fills the purpose of giving the wielder to become Shu himself.
An Amulet that is in the shape of a Scarab Beetle. It is ranked D.
