Limitations would be more to do with the mass of an object, so a building would be a little beyond him and car could be pushing his limits but speed and direction wouldn't factor in too much. 

The transmutation thing I really only put there for backstory. I never really intended it to play a role in the RP itself except for the occasional bit of dialog.
