He harbors an uncanny fear towards mannequins, something about that deep empty stare and the way they [i]stand[/i] just completely unnerves John, to the point where he might start shaking in fear.

His whole line of family are [i]very[/i] interested in occult and supernatural things, John was a black sheep in that he fears them. His relatives would always tell him stories of the occult or supernatural ones. The constant telling of stories and mock warnings had escalated his fear.

Simply put, he believes if anyone has to put on a mask, then they are probably hiding something. Clowns especially are a prime target, as he was exposed to clowns his whole life as his parents always bought the creepiest clown for birthdays, and since his fear has not diminished.

Normally, John is relatively nice and warm. Always being told by his parents to always try and be nice to everyone as you never know who might be under that guise. His odd upbringing had not damaged his disposition, [i]that much[/i]. The constant teasing and fake scares had led John to be a more jumpy and nervous than the rest, though he will try to put up a fake front but inside he's screaming. Though he is scared by the supernatural easily, he does not get daunted by normal people and this helps him with his job.

Raised by a family filled to the brim with eccentrics who are deeply interested in occult and anything supernatural related, John has had a very scared and jumpy childhood. Though this was the case, his parents had always cared for him and instilled in him the right ideology of always trying to help whenever you can.

His father and mother had been brought together due to their common and uncanny interests of the occult, and most, except John had the same interests. Almost everyone had nerves of steel and was never outright scared, just [i]curious[/i]. He had never seen anyone in his family get scared of the occult/supernatural, only to ever see them with glowing and inquisitive ones.

Unlike his family, John had always been interested in Criminology, as his parents have instilled in him to care and help people in need. This stemmed to him taking Criminology as his major and Psychology as his minor. He excelled at these subjects and could relatively read a human well. He was the most interested in the human psyche as compared to his oddball family.

Finally leaving university, he had landed a job as a Police Detective's Assistant in the local police department. He was only an assistant as you needed to be 21 years of age to have candidacy in the job, though he didn't mind as he was learning and absorbing all that was being taught to him.

Despite his families oddity, he is really close with them and visits frequently. He gets along with them, even though he is teased though in a playful way. Has a cat called Black. (Because the coat of fur is black)
