Is it okay if I finish my opponent in the next turn?

That should be fine, he is trapped unable to move, disarmed, and slightly wounded. so it shouldn't be all that hard to kill him.

One moment, gonna add a bit so that it's easier to give the captain a valid reaction.

done.

Hey Mil for the captain just "launch" the attack and let Anubis determine how the captain will react and what damage he will take.

Ok cool. I feel so powerful, Giffy just killed one orc after 4 posts and help from a teammate. It's not like people got faster kills before me by themselves. Oh wait.

I just figured that since the captain is also probably an experienced fighter that the specified attack was predictable. I'm assuming the captain is wielding the longsword in its right hand, also with an opponent that's attacking with a left handed hack type weapon, it seemed like a fairly clear target. I also don't think that I did too much in the way of a response, it still leaves the captain with room to retaliate and such.

Still gives him room to retaliate yes, but you injured him (if only slightly) on your turn and made an action for the captain, which is a more important character and under full control of Anubis. We has some plans for this guy so no meta controlling this one

Essentially if enemies are being directed by another person don't auto-hit them. Launch attacks, you can make them clever or difficult to dodge but nonetheless leave the reactions (what happens to them, if they are are hit, etc.) to them.

Nah it's cool. Honestly, I see where Milowan was going with this. Even if my captain did block the axe straight up the chance of it torquing his wrist was too high. By accepting the minor wound, the captain gets to close in where the great axe can't be swung but the longsword can be.

@Kojashi28 I understand what you are saying, and I think our next fight should favor melee a bit more. If makes practical sense that orcs wielding two handed weapons can't block arrows, so killing them by bow is easy. Additionally, these orcs have likely trained their entire lives to fight in close quarters bouts. Considering their strength, fighting them should not be an easy challenge.

Perhaps our next opponent should be a bigger enemy where enemies that are numerous and weak so killing one by bow won't really matter or big enough that arrows would be more of a nuisance than anything else?

Nonono, arrow to their eyes, all day long.

*sasha goes to build a bit of rope line and dangles bits of rope with inch wide knots on the bottom for weight.*

There we go, eyeball sized targets for everyone to keep shooting at all day long for practice until we are all snipers!
