We've got a problem, you and I. A score to settle that has been a long time coming. The area was white all over and showed no signs of walls or a door. Not too far off, there was a well. Euclid started walking to it, a cacophany of whispers growing as he neared the well until it was nearly unbearable. Then, suddenly, it was gone, replaced by silence. A silhouette formed on the opposite side of the well, its familiar grin giving hint as to who it was. "Who are you?" Euclid asked, clenching his fists. He saw the shadow a few times before, and now that they were relatively face to face, it was time for answers. The reply came from everywhere at once as the dark figure's head tilted, its voice sounding almost masculine but inhuman. Who am I? The reply was confusing at best, but the more terrifying part of the experience was that the area that he was in was becoming darker by the second, the light slowly disappearing into the well as the shadow repeated its answer. Who am I? As the darkness reached him, Euclid began to disappear, unable to move back into the fading light. The shadow held its hands up in front of its mouth and imitated the motion of giggling, the smile shaking fast and haphazardly. The cacophony of whispers began to return, louder than before, and Euclid clutched his ears, screaming at the top of his lungs. Who am I? The darkness overtook him, forcing his screams to abruptly end as he reached out toward the now camouflaged silhouette, its sickening grin the only thing to pierce the void. The well's light finally subsided, and the entity's reply was the only thing that remained. Who am I? The ceiling was the first thing Euclid saw when he opened his eyes, slipping off the bed and on to his feet. He was unsure as to how he fell unconscious or how long he was out, but by the time he awoke, the others were gone. Looking around the room, he found a note attached to the door of the office that read: "Went to look for help. Headed towards the kitchen." "Better than nothing," he said, folding up the note and placing it into his pocket before leaving the office. He entered a large hall and surveyed the area, attempting to find the kitchen, but failing in the end. Because of this, he chose a random pathway and started to walk, placing his hands in his pockets. His only goal now was to find the kitchen.
