Alright, since my first character didn't go down like, at all, here is a second one. Hopefully it's a little better.

Personality: Normally he is nervous and self-conscious, even coming across as cowardly as he will go to near any lengths to avoid confrontation. When he activates his power however the personality is overwritten by the source of it and he becomes arrogant and eager to leap into any fight. 

Classification: Infernal

Powers/Abilities:
His most powerful abilities stem from the demon that is spreading inside of him. The demon will cover whatever parts of the body it inhabits (right arm and partial face) with near indestructible silver scales as well as imbuing it with superhuman levels of strength, easily capable of lifting 10000 Newtons.

When the demon is being kept dormant, Ben has the passive ability of being highly resistant to fire as well as being able to manipulate already existing forms of it to a fairly minor extent. Ie not strong enough for a serious fight but maybe just making a path.

If Ben and the demon combine their wills then the scales cover with black flames that can be thrown at enemies. These flames are incredibly hot but only on the inside so anything that goes into the fire will almost instantly be incinerated while nothing outside is affected.

Weaknesses:

The more Ben uses the demon the more the demon takes control of his body meaning that he will only release the demon as a last resort. 

It also means that he is constantly at war with the demon meaning for them to combine wills is very unlikely.

Ben is physically frail so even with the demon in control if his takes a direct hit anywhere not covered in scales it will most certainly do some serious damage.

The scales are not completely indestructible and even though they can take a huge amount of punishment before breaking they will eventually and when they do the pain is far more extreme than anything normally possible to feel and Ben will pass out near instantly. 

Weapons: A butterfly knife he keeps in a pouch strapped to his belt.

Gear: A silver ring covered in runes on the left finger of his left hand is what keeps the demon at bay. His powers only activate once he takes it off.

Skills: His hand-eye co-ordination is good enough that he is skilled at parkour. Makes him good for being a wuss and running from a fight.

Brief History: Ben grew up in a gypsy caravan travelling all over the highlands. Times were tough but they survived. One day they past another caravan and spent an evening with them. During the night while everyone was supposedly asleep the other group got up and slaughtered all of Ben's family. He barely survived and it was only through luck that he did. Despite only being twelve he followed them from a distance and while they slept he tried to attack them. It went awfully which in retrospect was a pretty likely outcome. He was captured and tortured for sadistic fun and when the troop moved on they left him beaten, bloody and at thirstier than ever for revenge

Ben was close to death when a lone wanderer found him. This person was a witch and she offered him the power he needed to get back at them but at a price. Without even a second though he agreed and was told about demons that craved flesh. Knowing that whatever was coming would be beyond what pain he had gone through Ben still kept his conviction. The demon that arrived took the form of a scaled beast and offered power in exchange for his right arm. A deal was struck and the demon dove into his arm and right then Ben knew he had been tricked but he didn't care. The demon was going to spread but as long as the revenge he sought was his then he didn't care.

Before he left the witch gave him a ring and said there would come a time when suppressing the demon was necessary and the ring would do it. The demon at first merely had his hand up to his wrist but by the time he was done with the other caravan his arm up to his elbow was covered in silver scales. That was when he was found. Seeing people with power other than himself made Ben regret the lengths he had gone to but not the act itself. Over time the demon spread further and further as he was forced to use it. Now the demon claims control over his entire right arm and part of his face.

Other: Ben can't use his right arm at all with his ring on so it is completely paralyzed most of the time, forcing him to wear a sling when not using his powers. The ring on his finger is also on a chain around his neck so that once he takes it off he doesn't lose it.
