And honestly, it was kind of stupid to attack the Enclave. There were stories about the kidnappings, sure... but when the Knights undertook quests to find the "victims," they usually ended up in the cave of a yao guai, a slaver's camp, or eloping with someone a family member didn't approve of rather than following Enclave kidnappers. It shocked Samuel that so many people in the wasteland would slander a group dedicated to restoring civilization and ensuring the safety of unmutated humans.
