[b]Power[/b]: Serpent physiology: Thanks to the actions of his (now) ex-girlfriend, Dimitri was bitten by a heavily genetically modified member of the krait family, specifically by the species Bungarus flaviceps. Much like a certain web slinging marvel hero the venom has drastically altered his DNA and endowed him with the traits of the animal he was bitten by. Dimitri's physical strength, senses, speed, and reflexes have all been heightened to nearly twice that of a peak human being and his body has become extremely flexible due to a sudden increase of elasticity in his muscles and ligaments. As an added mutation, Dimitri's maxillary sinuses have mutated into neurotoxin producing venom glands that connect to his his canine teeth, which have elongated and become hollow.

Much like many people Dimitri was just a normal guy who just went through life dreaming of bigger things. Overall he had a pretty good thing going; His older brother was a condominium superintendent and was willing to let Dimitri shack with him through college which gave him a place to stay, he didn't have to pay a dime for his classes thanks to an academic scholarship, and he was a year away from graduating with his masters in both virology and biomedical engineering with a good paying job lined up for him with the center for disease control and prevention. Yes, it was pretty clear that Dimitri had very little to worry about...save for one little thing: His girlfriend Sarah. Sarah...volatile to say the least. Sarah was also a member of the Animal Liberation Front, a group that was considered by most of those familiar with the ALF as ecoterrorists. While Dimitri shared in a few of his girlfriend's beliefs, he lacked her desire to approach the subject with the same kind of radical and often times aggressive methods that she preferred to use. 

Sarah would sometimes disappear for days at a time, then suddenly show up at Dimitri's door step either to hide from police or with some random animal that she wanted him to hide with no explanations. One day Sarah ends up dropping off a cardboard box with specific instructions to not let the animal inside of it out under any circumstances. Now, cardboard is useful for many things, however protecting one from snake bites is most definitely not one of those things, something Dimitri learned when he ended up receiving a nasty bite while carrying the box to his room. With his brother away from home for work related purposes, Dimitri had just enough time to peek inside the box and call for an ambulance before he wound up passing out. As the paramedics had not idea to search Dimitri's room prior to escorting him out of his home they had no clue what sort of snake had bitten him, and as such lacked an idea of which antivenom to use to help. Thanks to constant efforts by the medical team that watched over him, Dimitri was kept alive long enough for the venom to work it's way out of his system. Approximately one week after the incident, Dimitri was able to recover and was released, whereafter he immediately broke up with Sarah and tried to resume life as normal. Still, he can't help but shake the feeling that something is different...
