@Legion02you have to make at least one Dragon and one humaniod character. I would prefer if they do not pair up. (There is a rule about that actually) but you make two so that you have a dragon and a human if someone wants to have a dragon rider, or a human partner
The peace that had fallen between the dragons and mankind was very thin. Everyone accepted this, that the balance between war and peace has been, and always will be easy to shatter. And now. a foolish outcast has decided to toy with this balance. A small group of royals, unknown to the king and queen of the Sunscales and Nightmares, Has used their unique power, to transform from their dragon form into humans, to bring chaos. Terrorizing villages, and slaughtering innocent. Toying with their prey, before devouring them. The king has been reduced to one option. If the Human king was to send his men to hurt these beasts, a war between humans and dragons would break out. A war that humans would undoubtly loose. So he has sent requests out. To gather a hero from each village. And create a group of men(or women) to travel through the dense, dragon filled forests, to talk to the Sunscale King and Queen. Who will hopefully help them with this issue.
Foundation magic
Humans, the foundation of most other creatures, are the least gifted in any form of magic. They traded talent for capability, there are branches Ranging from Druidism to Necromancy. Though the last is frowned on. The easiest for a human to learn is elemental magic. Controlling and casting spells with the aid of air, water, earth and fire.

Draconic magic
Humans never learned this sort of deep rooted magic. They never got access to it, though to most dragons, it comes natural. It manifests itself in breathing fire, ice or acid. Or in commanding the rays of the sun or moon. It is strongly connected to an inner burning 'flame' and the will of a dragon. Among dragons, a true limit to this power has yet to be found. So far the only existing barriers have been a lack of will for something. In the rare Occasions when Humans and Dragons become allies, and become a sort of dragon Cult, the dragons may reward the humans with a tiny bit of what is called Shared Flame. Which allows the human to cast Draconic Magic.

Another rule reguarding dragon riders is that you may not rp the dragon of the rider. Please ask someone if they would like their dragon to be your characters partner, or ask someone if they would make that character. I will not be as strict on this rule, but if you wish to make a rider and it's dragon partner ask me.

About Dragons
Most often, dragons live in solitary. Claiming small areas of land in which they hunt in and raise their offspring. Larger dragons may allow smaller dragons to live within their territory if they follow certain terms. Depending mostly on personality, some live in small packs of 2-5. Females are in season to breed only once a year. And like most things, this time depends on what breed the dragon is. Females normally have a single egg that takes three months to hatch. While some females have clusters of eggs, ranging from as low as 2, to as high as 10. Once hatched, the mother will provide for her offspring for nearly two years, until they have learned to defend themselves. Most mothers are caring. While others become cannibals the moment hunger creeps among them. One dragon year, is equal to almost 5 humans years. Giving dragons a longer life span. Within each type of dragon, there is one royal family. The royal families often have special abilities that normal dragons of their own kind would not have, they are able to take the form of humans. And have wings, while ordinary dragons do not have wings. Royal families live from one generation to the next, and stay close most of their lives. Living together in groups up to twenty.
Dragon Rider
Humans have exsisted only because dragons allow them. But because of certain humans wishing to eliminate these dragons, there has been a growing tension between the two races. Dragon Riders are very rare. There are three ways that a dragon and a human may become partners. The first is the human raising the dragon from a youngling. This is one of the best ways to become a dragon rider. It creates the deepest bonds between the rider and his/her dragon. Another way, how most pairs come to be, is that their is a human wishing to understand dragons, and a dragon wishing for a partner. This is most common in Metal Clank Dragons, because they find it an honor to be partners with a human. The last and finally way that one may become a dragon rider is through prophecy.
Species of Dragons
Metal Clank Dragon
Metal clank dragons are rather huge compared to other dragons. The males can reach up to twenty feet, but averagely only make it to 16 feet tall, while females range between 12-15 feet tall. And are 1.5 their height in length. Their scales are larger than average dragons. Made completely out of a substance that is stronger than steel. Giving them the appearance of armored dragons. When they walk, the clanking and clattering of their scales against each other echo's through the air. Giving them their name. These dragons have seemed to be made for riders. Because between their scaled shoulder blades, is a hollow space, a small bubble where their scales do not cover. This is their one weakness. However, dragon riders can weave riding leather and equipment into this gap, to make it easier to stay on their companion. While it also benefits the dragon by allowing them no weakness. Most other dragon would think it insane, but Metal Clank Dragons often go in Search of a rider. They see it as a honor to have a companion to help protect the weak humans with. Metal Clank Dragons have no special powers. They cannot breath any sort of fire. It is their armor that makes them so powerful, not to mention their brute strength. And often at the ends of their tails there are weapon shaped metal.
Toad Dragon
Toad dragons are normally not as thin as other dragons. They have a little extra meat on them, and instead of the usual rectangular nature of most dragons. They are more square when it comes to height vs. Length. Just barely longer than they are tall. They are a smaller breed of dragon, considered medium sized. The males can stand seven feet tall, while averagely the females only reach five feet. Instead if scales, these dragons have slick skin, like that of a toads. They have long, webbed toes, with frills on their cheeks, that beneath hold their ears. Their snout is short, and they have three feet long tongues. Although the length of their tongue may vary. Often living in swamps, these frog like dragons come in many different colors. With slime naturally coming from their pores, they are not To be touched. The poisonous level varies from little pain, to death. The more colorful the toad dragon, the more deadly their slime. Typically females are more poisonous than males. Toad dragons do not eat red meat like most dragons. So that means they do not eat people. Instead they eat fish, and bugs that they find in the swamps. Some have the ability to change the poisonous level of their slime, or have the ability to breath toxic gases.
Sunscale Dragons
Sunscale and Nightmare dragons are very similar. In body shape and size. Males are averagely 15 ft tall. While females are normally 10-12 feet tall. They are longer than they are tall, normally double their height in length. They are thin dragons, with curved spines, and long whip like tails. Their scales come in various shades of warm and bright colors or very bright shades of golden, orange, white, and red. They have a set of horns on the top back of their heads. Coming in various different types, from long and pointed, to wavy shaped, to even ram horns. Their claws, horns, and teeth are golden. Males are normally more muscular, but the females make up for their lack of size with weaponry. Females have large golden clubs on the back of their tails, like a mace. This species of dragon is very rare, being the one of the original dragons that all others descend from. Sunscales and Nightmares all have one king and queen. That rule over all other dragon. Together, the two sets of mates work together to keep the world balanced. Sunscales have different powers. Normally to do with light. Some can glow, some can bend light, some can even heat up. Many breath a golden fire, hot enough to melt rocks and steel within two feet of the fire. Some Sunscales also have the ability to slip into the dreams of others.
Nightmare Dragons
Sunscale and Nightmare dragons are very similar. In body shape and size. Males are averagely 15 ft tall. While females are normally 10-12 feet tall. They are longer than they are tall, normally double their height in length. They are thin dragons, with curved spines, and long whip like tails. Their scales come in various shades of black or very dark shades of green, blue, or grey. They have a set of horns on the top back of their heads. Coming in various different types, from long and pointed, to wavy shaped, to even ram horns. Their claws, horns, and teeth are silver. Males are normally more muscular, but the females make up for their lack of size with weaponry. The females are more aggressive than the males, with silver blade like spikes at the end of their tails. This species of dragon is very rare, being the one of the original dragons that all others descend from. Sunscales and Nightmares all have one king and queen. That rule over all other dragon. Together, the two sets of mates work together to keep the world balanced. Nightmares have the abilities ranging from blending into the shadows, to entering others dreams. Some even have the ability to breath pure dark energy.
Lich Dragons
Long before humans had built cities, a great breed of dragons roamed and ruled the mountains' frozen peaks. Each was even more proud than the other. They ever so often battled among each other, establishing dominance. Though after ages, the fights grew fiercer. Surrender was no longer an option. It were fights till dead. And thus, the dragon's ended their own breed. With a few who died in died of old age in exile. A Lich found one of these exiled dragon's corpse and thought it would be a rather good idea to try and possess it. The physical result was horrible. The flesh melted away from the bones. A cold blue flame filled their chest and wrapped around the dragon's spine and limbs like tentacles. Eventually it spread towards the head, where it filled the skull. Though the Lich was not powerful enough to resist the Dragon's magical capabilities and thus perished. Giving its life force to re-awaken the dragon. This exiled dragon returned to his land, where he found his brothers and sisters, all dead. He shared parts of his own life force with the others. And soon a new breed of dragons were born. Though sadly, they could only be born from the dead of the old breed.
Earth Dragons
Earth dragons came in many different forms but more often than not the come in the form of a large Trex. Earth Dragons are a very old race of dragons, they build their nests in the earth itself by digging holes. Earth dragons are often quite large, with massively powerful mouths, and extremely tough skin, yet they are very agile on land. They are carnivores and more often than not end up eating any creature that comes into their territory. Earth dragon’s often have the ability to dig into the ground and even control the earth itself when needed. The royalty of the Earth Dragons don’t actually have wings, instead they have multiple horns and spines on their back, they even have the ability to turn themselves into a sort of bolder and role at high speeds even faster than normal earth dragons can run.
HydroSurge Dragons
The Hydrosurge Dragons live in hidden in surface caverns in the sea throughout the land. Males average to be 20ft tall and 32ft long, while females average at 17-18ft tall and 28-29ft long. Royalty Hydrosurge have wings, and very large horns, ranging from 5-6ft long. Hydrosurge have terribly strong jaws, and inside those jaws are 3 rows of 30 5inch razor sharp teeth awaiting for prey. Even though they are quite menacing, the Hydrosurge, are actually, quite friendly. Being very relaxed in territorial matters, they will let almost anything go through unless they sense it as a threat. They use their 9inch razor-like claws to dig into the rock in the side of caverns where they lay their eggs. They are only very territorial around the nest or the babies themselves. As defense mechanisms the can extend their claws, to a foot long, flash their tail frills, and blast water from their mouths at 90mph.
If you wish to make a dragon type, just pitch me the idea, and if I okay it, make a paragraph
Dragons have always lived in the thick woods, deep lakes and high mountains. As the Apex predators, they also served as guardians of nature. Assuring that there would always be a balance in their domain. And for ages, no humans were seen in their beautiful land. Of course, until the first did come. From over the sea, coming from an unknown country, the humans suddenly came in masses. On makeshift boats, clearly built to flee. Like a bad rash they spread. One day the coast was empty, the next the first huts were ALREADY being built. And thus, the Age of Tranquility ended. And the Age of Men began.
At first the humans did nothing wrong according to most dragons. In fact, at first they seemed to help the dragons in their duties. For at the dawn of the second Age, there were a lot of prey animals. And humans quickly started to hunt them. It was only when they started to ACTIVELY attack hunting beasts, that the dragons could see the true nature of humanity. Slayers and killer. They tried to interfere. A few dragons attempted peaceful negotiations. But humans were spreading to fast, becoming too much of a burden. Others saw this as an attack and flew down from the skies into battle. This tactic, at first, seemed fruitful. Until the dragons began to call on especially skilled mages and warriors. Dragon Slayers, they were called. And within 2 generations, they were so deadly that each and every dragon feared their name. The surviving dragons vanished into the mountains, forests and lakes. And thus the Third Age began: the Golden Age of humanity.
Both technology and magic advanced at a rapid pace. New branches of magic were uncovered, researched and mastered. From the mountains came the Dwarves, whom hid themselves under the rock and stone, in their great Halls. Elven came from another distant land. Not from the West, like mankind. But from the East, following a river. They settled in the great forests. To survive, they had to ENTER the alliance the humans created. And thus all three races prospered. Humans made their great castles, along the shore and a few against the northern mountains. The Dwarves began to carve the northern mountainsides into their cities. Watching over the rich valley’s in which they began to farm. The elves remained east, in the great woods, with the plains between them and the dwarves. They are known for singing the trees into shapes. Creating their houses from the living plants, living in a synergetic relationship with the environment.
Dragons were never entirely forgotten. The Dragon Slayers, humanity's famous ORDER, was repurposed as Royal Guards. The Dwarven dragon slayer were formed a lot later than their human counterpart. They are called the Karnaghrum and are the elite order among their ranks now. The elven never slew dragons. Thus they never had to form dragon slayers. But they too have an elite unit amongst their ranks: the Ent'Huïn. Wizards, sorcerers and mages showing great promise.
But now the Golden Age is at an end. Dragons, who were considered a distant memory, are returning. Sightings BEGIN to pour in. Witnesses, once ridiculed and declared mad are now believed. The Alliance will act soon, in unity. For every race remembers how terrible a war is with the true Guardians of Nature.
Races
Elves are by far the most talented of the races. Making great archers and mages. They have deep magical roots, which allows them to learn magic the easiest out of all the races. They use branch magic, but have the abiltiy to have more than one branch of magic.(Up to nearly 4, for the master mage). They are light, and thin framed. With long pointed ears, and soft, angelic features. Hair color and eye color can range from brown, to blue, to pink. While most elves are snow pale. Although they are talented in magic, they are weaker than the other races. Living longer lives, due to their advanced restoration magic, but frailer when it comes to battle. They are not very strong, although with years of training, an elf could become as strong as any other human or dwarf tank. They have a natural way with animals and dragons. Having the natural ability to talk to any animal. They are peaceful, and will only go into war if their is danger for them.
Living between the two dragon palaces, the Dwarven cities are carved into the mountains that trap the valley beneath it. These form of smaller people are extremely tough and headstrong. Averaging about 4-5 feet tall, they are solid like rocks, and normally use weapons such as war hammers and giant battle axes. Having carved out their homes within mountains, Dwarves are creatures of the earth. Made to mine for materials and live within the earth. Although small, they are the strongest of the humanoid races. They have little, to no, skills with magic. But what they lack in magic, they make up for in their mastery in blacksmithing, and skills with a weapon. They have a lifespan of that as a human, although generally, they tend to live ten years more than a normal human. Dwarves are very loving of their smoking pips and mead. Most male dwarves display large tangles of beard nearly longer than themselves. As a show of strength.
While humans are only considered average in Magic and Strength, only being able to learn one branch of magic, and not being as wildly strong as dwarves. They are known for one thing. Their charisma. They have a ability with words unlike any other race. Not only is their speech on their side, they are incredibly wise. Among all of the races, they have the quickest brains. Coming up with situations in an instant. Whether humans realize how intelligent they are or not does not matter. Their wisdom is what has always made them a great threat to dragons among the years. Humans adapt to situations a lot quicker than a Elf and Dwarf would be able to.
