How does one tell a child that their father was gone? Fate couldn't actually be sure that that was actually the case though. Holding the girl tightly she knelt down to be at her eye level. Wiping away the tears she looked at her calmly. "[color=steelblue]I'm sure your mommy wants to see daddy too. It's not that she won't let you see him, she just doesn't know how.[/color]" 

Holding her for a moment longer Fate finally let go. "[color=steelblue]We saw your mommy before coming here. She is very worried about you and wants you to come home. She's only trying to protect you.[/color]" Yeah, this was a little outside her depth but said what made sense to her. Drawing a blank after that she waited for a response.
