Okay, I can understand how attempting to knee Fury before you go to ground would be a way to get some damage in, but I don't really see how Kanitah would also find it possible to direct an attack at Fury's head while he's being slammed into the ground. The proximity is one limiting factor, Fury's energy blasts into the path of his arms is another (this served what would in a human fight been popping Kanitah's elbows up to get under his guard, though Kanitah's arm being in the air did half of this for him.)

I'm just going to make my post with how I think the grab would go down now, as this is unfamiliar ground for me as well.
