It seemed that he also regained his detection, able to sense the presence of many more beetles on their way. Time was becoming valuable as well as scarce.

Sorom's attack with the Kunai landed at the feat of the enemy shinobi, releasing a large flash and explosion that caught Gallade off guard, pushing him away from the enemy. But overall the psychic was unharmed. Sorom's genjutsu ended in that flash as his chakra was unable to relay any information to the enemy's body as it did before.
