After about ten months, we're not that far in. So far all we've done is esthablished a few members of the persona crew and have done two dungeons (not counting the one we're currently in).

As for edginess, I'd say not to worry too much about. Unless s/he's cripplingly edgey. Like, say, s/he isolates himself from everybody and hates people because of his ~dark past~. Probably shouldn't do something like that in an RP setting.
