[@Hillan] Personally I love Smallville however many because it was my introduction to comics. While there are numerous problems with it I believe if you were to condense the story down it would work well as a backstory for Superman. In fact [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman:_Secret_Origin]Superman: Secret Origin[/url] shares a lot of the Smallville elements and characters such as Chloe and Lionel have both made it into the comics since. Smallville had a positive effect on Superman in much the same way B:TAS did on Batman just to a lesser degree.
