If his chest is pressed that tightly against Kanitah, then there's no conceivable way that he can have his foot wrapped around Kanitah's foot. Unless they're both lying down flat against eachother, at which point there's no way the grapple would work for either of them. Rolling would be so easy that Kanitah shifting his weight would roll Fury over.
That's what's happening, the only thing resisting your character just trying to roll over is Fury's weight (which is insignificant to us) but also Fury's star-fished and pressing your character's legs down to the ground, any roll you attempt would have to come from your shoulders and hips and have to overpower Fury's leg strength. His knees are barely if at all touching the ground, though they would still probably be clenching your character's hips. His chest doesn't have to be directly on top of Kanitah's as your own arms width would increase the distance between the two characters, but this wouldn't help Kanitah punch with them, they'd still be sandwiched. Besides which, as I've already mentioned, Fury doesn't really care about anything other than establishing a choke by which he can steal enough energy to sustain any attack Kanitah launches, while simultaneously killing him. But regardless, though you have many options available, I think that launching an attack with your hands in that fashion is unrealistic, and maybe even impossible.
