Hey I guess it's just an early reminder Dan that the actions of one character CAN affect the rest of the characters. Here is basically how things could have transpired differently. Jack doesn't beat up the two Vault Dwellers. Security doesn't arrest him. A revolution does not start. Security has bigger numbers. The monsters attack. The Vault unifies to fight the monsters and wins and all is well because the Vault-born citizens realize that they couldn't have done it with out the Refs. Or. Jack doesn't beat up the two Vault Dwellers. Security doesn't arrest him. A revolution does not start. Security has bigger numbers. The monsters attack. The Vault unifies to fight the monsters but loses. Characters escape but since the monsters are not as distracted by Security Forces, they follow the characters and kill a few. So if you think about it, the revolution helped distract the monsters so that our characters could escape!
Everyone must die. Although, much more brutal fights have transpired in the past with jack and a few other Vault Citizens, so it's curious as to why this happened this specific time, and not other times.
