David stand’s a fair 5’8”. His hair is easly called a mess, as he doesn’t care to comb it. It’s your average day brown colored. Down to his eyes: which are a very dark shade of brown. His skin is pretty pale, despite the fact that he goes outside pretty often. He just seem to have a hard time tanning. Nor is he very muscular. But that’s entirely because he doesn’t work out. As for the way he dresses: comfortable and casual. He has a light grey hoodie, though he never wears the hood. With a simple blue jeans. The purple crystal he got from Olympia still hangs around his neck, but it’s tucked between his hoodie and his bright red shirt underneath it. 

Personality: 
David can be a little lazy. If he doesn’t care enough. For example, his current main goal is not necessarily defeating all gym leaders. It’s merely a side-factor for improving himself and his relationship with the Pokémon. His main objective is seeing the world and the Pokémon in it. He won’t do anything if it’s not for the benefit of that objective.

One thing that might offset him from many other trainers is his almost self-endangering love for Pokémon. He cares more for Pokémon than for people. This goes so far even that if he captures a Pokémon he will first find a peaceful spot, release the creature and sit down with it. To feed it, to talk to it, anything to earn its friendship.

Cooking. A skill he learned from his mother when they all still lived in Lumiose City. David can cook very well in a kitchen, preparing a lot of tasty food, for both humans and Pokémon. Even when he’s out camping he can prepare some good meals from simple things like rice and berries. His cooking skills often earned him the trust of a few wild Pokémon, as he loves to help the wild ones back home. Despite the fact that his mother didn’t like it.

Biography: 
His mother was a rather known cook back in Lumiose City, while his father was a trainer trying to get all the badges. Their story is full of attempts from her side to beat him in a Pokémon battle. And many failed dishes from his side. But that’s a story for another time. Right now, the only thing that matters is that they got together.

David’s mother has a Haunter, while his father has an Umbreon. Even as a child, he liked to play with both of the dark Pokémon, which was rather surprising considering Haunter’s appearance. But as David loved Haunter, Haunter loved David and protected him from several other ghost-type Pokémon.

Until of course, Haunter had to go with Mother towards another region for a cooking contest. His father was quite afraid, thinking David would be bullied by some ghost Pokémon. Although they were pretty rare in Lumiose City. But as it happened, a Duskull visited him that night. But instead of being afraid, he just crawled out of his bed, went to the kitchen, and offered the Pokémon some food. From that day, David began to go just outside the city with some food every day. For the Pokémon out there. He met and earned the loyalty of several small Pokémon. Though his love for Umbreon and Haunter would never vanish.

That’s why his love for Psychic Pokémon struck both his parents as such a surprise. It was probably a combination of awe and interest in that type, without really realizing that Psychic Pokémon were the natural enemies of Ghost and Dark Pokémon. Around that time, David began to work with his mother in the kitchen. The funny thing was that only a week later Olympia, the Kalos Psychic Gym leader visited Lumiose City. The young boy could hold his breath and unleashed a torrent of questions upon her. She answered some of them, yet gave a mysterious answer to others. Eventually she gave him a small purple crystal necklace and told him to visit her when he was 18. He did and she, together with professor Sycamore, offered him the Pokémon Fennekin. She told him that the fox Pokémon had something she refered to as “a hidden flame”. The Professor told him that, if he was out to challenge his knowledge about Pokémon and to forge a deep bond of trusting with them, he should head for the new Sengun. As the warriors there were more closely connected with their Pokémon. Something David desired very much. So a bit later he took a boat towards Port Fae.
