Her magic falls into three categories: Enchantment/Transmutation: This magic is that of temporary buffs and imbuing items with arcane power. Also it enables her to tell the properties of an item. Also, it manipulates items around her such as turning a handful of sand into shards of glass or a iron bar into a crude weapon. However, she can't maintain the craftsmanship of blacksmiths nor can she manipulate what she doesn't understand well and larger items take more time to transmute. Hexes: These are direct magic attacks versus an opponent, instead of say the example before where she would turn sand into a glass barrage. Mainly, they are used to debuff, take an enemies strength away, and the like. Even hex them into aiding her and liking her more if they are weak willed and unexpecting. However, a hex would also count as a blast of dark energy in a cone or dark magic bolts at her enemy that strike like punches when hastily made but cannon balls when channeled. Elemental attacks would form from this, but she would need a source of fire to say use an attack of fire so elemental attacks are harder to pull off besides for shadows and dark magic attacks since shadows are common. Rituals: Rituals are the hardest thing to perform and in a combat scenario usually useless as they take time to set up the runes on the ground and to gather the items to perform as well as time to cast by speaking the extended magic phrases. Magic Rules: All of her magic requires verbal use for her to channel Arcana into being commanded. Magic uses an old language in her case, not the common tongue, as well. Also,a lot of magic requires concentration. In other words, she can't cast large spells while dodging swords and such. Possible Progression Ideas: Advancement further into dark type magic, however it will also test her will to not turn bad. Mainly related to her past as she was forced to advance in dark magic and hexes originally so it's what she has become attuned to while not trying to become a darker person. This could also go to night based magic relative speaking to spells relating to constellations and the moon or the moons if this world has more than one.
