To be sincere anyone at this point would have noticed that they weren't alone, it was a ruined village and there was nothing else that could be making those odd noises. The girl wasn't in the mood of being killed but if she was involved in this combat it would make fleeing to the kingdom even harder. On the other side she couldn't fully explain to the rebels that she wanted to flee to their land with the big knight with an even bigger sword by his side.
