Lusser could only shrug lightly when Feuertanz mentioned his ‘lady’, and opted to refrain from his prayer as well, simply waiting in a silence that he found to be awkward. Though Lusser acknowledged that most magic users held some sort of faith, he saw little point in praising those who had done so little for him in his life. If anyone deserved his undying faith, it was Lusser von Steigen himself, as he felt that almost all of his accomplishments were a product of his own aptitude, perseverance, and diligence. Though, now that he considered it, perhaps there was something to be said for his own luck on the tables, even when he played fairly. As soon as the two raised their heads back up, Lusser was on the move, walking beside Erion with a smile. He liked the idea of going somewhere new: Every time he went to a new town, it was like a whole new world of opportunities for him to enjoy and exploit. But this time, it could either be nothing or everything; a gamble which Lusser couldn’t help but enjoy.
