He seemed so pumped and determined all of a sudden, his aura taking a whole new outlook and Jasper was glad that her simple suggestion had fired him up. Seeming to appear out of Nowhere, Jasper and Harper had been so intense and focused on search out plans that they hadn't realized that Serenade had approached then from behind. After Harper recovered from his surprise, the bunch listened in on the outlined events of the day and each other's group partners. Glancing at Harper and Ace, she was rather confident about the pairings, but the new found self esteem slightly diminished as Serenade announced that their designated guides will probably be leaving them on their own to handle some other business. Calling out their particular areas to snoop in, she then jabbed a finger towards her direction. She shook a bit, startled and wide eyed as Serenade continued to speak, assigning her as group leader. About ready to protest, Ace jumped a little, acting like a revving engine ready to zoom away at the release of the brakes as she said rather enthusiastically, "Well what're we waiting for? Let's go, there's no time to waste!"  Taking a nervous gulp, her palms started to feel clammy, but was pleased to have Ace there who would mostly likely be acting as the group leader even though she had been the one assigned. "Ok, no funny business.. Let's go" she mumbled as she beckoned her two groupies towards the town. She planned to ask citizens first before heading for the lake. Then pausing for a moment she turned swiftly to her partners, "Wait, where would you guys like to start first?" She didn't want to be making all the decisions and just bossing both her buddies around to follow her on where she decided they were headed. Their opinion was important in this too.
