Amelia couldn't see straight, the alcohol was all hitting her at once. She wanted to go back to the condo- to sleep this away. This party wasn't giving her any hope for her future unless it was becoming an alcoholic. Just as she was going to stand she saw Hunter then as quickly as he appeared he was gone again. She didn't even turn to check on the guy on the ground. She stumbled after Hunter, losing him in the crowd for a moment. So she followed her instinct that said he would be at the bar. Amelia pushed we way through the grinding bodies which was much harder when you were drunk. "Hunter, what the-" Her voice caught in her throat at the aight before her. Dela and Hunter were kissing. Suddenly Amelia felt like she was going to be sick. She stared at them, the guy she had been fighting depression so hard just to get over. He had just knocked someone out, but yet Hunter just last night had said everything was over between them. He had assured her that things would not work out right now. Hunter said we had things to take care of first.. Like apparently kissing her best friend. And Adelisa kissed him back? Had Dela not been the one to hold Amelia when she could not stop heart wrenching sobs after that night a hunter cheated on her? Amelia turned and walked back through the crowd, this time shoving anyone who stood in her path. She walked as fast as her still shaky legs would take her, but half way back she fell on her hands and knees- throwing up the contents of the drinks she had consumed. Amelia stood back up and with her face in her hands let out an ear-piercing scream. She didn't know what emotion to listen to- the hurt, the anger, the overwhelming sorrow. Hunter could have kissed ANYONE! Anyone but her best friend.. Amelia made it to the condo and walked up to the room. She pulled on a black sundress over her bikini and balled her long blonde curls into a messy bun. She grabbed her cigarettes and walked to the outdoor pool. She was alone, everyone was at the party. Amelia lit the cigarette and wiped away the mascara tears running down her face as she inhaled the smoke. She let a breath out and looked at the water that caught moonlight. She took in another inhalation of the cigarette before letting the tears fall once again, balling herself in with her knees up against her chest.
