Kijani was relaxing after class in the cafeteria, halfway through a cheeseburger and almost at the end of a book. The noise of the place had fallen away, and she was completely absorbed in the novel. Connor's white jacket lay in a garment bag beside her on the bench... She didn't know how to approach him at the moment. She'd seen him with his usual friends, and didn't know the protocol- would it be more embarrassing to go to him with his friends around? Or would it make him more popular because he had a cute girl to talk to? She really had no idea, and no one to ask. ---- Devika sat on the outskirts of the cafeteria, picking at her food. Today was an off day for her on all accounts. Physically, she felt huge and unwieldy and ugly. Mentally, she felt far behind even the youngest students. She'd sat through fighting theory with none other than Captain America, and knew that she had a long way to go. Honestly, she was starting to doubt herself again, and it was all she could do to actually sit through the classes at all.
