The Journey back to Side 3 was a long one but today on the crew of this new battleship it had to be a hard one. Lieutenant Char sat in his quarters thinking about what was to come next. Only a day prior had their ship been the target of a huge ambush. The Federation thought they were smart having this single warship outclassed three-to-one but they couldn't see how clueless they truly were. Even so it was a harsh trap and if I had been commander of this vessel then the Federation would not have thought to pull a stunt like this. After thinking that our Zaku's had the advantage over a couple of Ball's then the Federation brought in more warships and decimated our forces with their superior fire power. A Zaku was a great weapon but unless used properly could be severely abused and tortured. Then the pesky Federation showed the true color of fear when Char entered the fray. With one look from my Red Zaku then one enemy ship fell down within an instant. That was when they ordered a retreat and other warship fell well it tried to turn around. Those fools must not have expected the Red Ace to be on this third-rate ship. "Lieutenant Char! Lieutenant Char!" A young soldier barged on his door like it was a serious emergency. The door slowly opened to a brooding officer who had just been disturbed from his rest. "State your business." He ordered before he lost his patience. "S-sir, your presence is requested on the bridge." Char looking a bit more irritated glared at this young soldier. He looked as if it killed him to be in the same room as the Red Ace. "Requested by whom." He firmly asked the young redheaded soldier. "B-by the Commander, Sir." He said looked even more intimidated right. "First calm the hell down. " Char told the boy. "Sir?" He looked puzzled. "If you're too nervous to do your job then don't do it. If the Commander needs me then tell him I'm on my way but if you can't look me in the eye then don't fight for our lord." Char barked at the boy. "Now run along." He barked at the surprised soldier who ran off after rendering the proper salute. If it wasn't one thing this rotten trip then it was another. Char soon got dressed and presented himself to the Commander on the deck. "Commander, you requested my presence?" Char inquired as he rendered the proper greeting before leering around the bridge. It seemed to him that the girl over by the radar was looking puzzled. There was no one to man the helm of their ship. In fact the helmsman looked like he was assisting someone else like his own job didn't matter. This could only mean that their ship had stopped and there was most likely a good reason they stopped. By the look on the Commander's face, Char just knew he would have to deal with the reason why they had stopped probably in the middle of nowhere. "Char, m'boy. We picked up an odd signal on the radar. For some reason we cannot seem to detect exactly what it is. As your situation stands you have the only working mobile suit on this ship. I'm going to need you to take a trip out there and investigate what in the blazes is going on." He ordered. 'Sir, if I may would it be possible to avoid this whatever is causing this strange signal. After all we could be risking our only mobile suit on a complete trap." He interject. The superior officer looked offended that his wisdom would be questioned by some hotshot rookie. "You see sonny, whatever that signal is coming from it is jamming up our radar. Now we cannot continue with buggy equipment so you better get your chops out there and investigate. Besides I have full confidence that you can survive any trap that anyone wants to throw." He finished. "Yes, sir. I will not fail you." Char said as he prepared for combat. The Red Ace, in his Zaku made it's way though the space that separated their ship from this strange signal. This could easily be a trap and their ship would be anybody's for the taking if he got shot down. But that did go against Char's policy to never get shot in combat. It made surviving a hell lot harder if you let everything in the world shoot you down. Besides he wanted to get this done quickly but not in a manner that would be stupid to do. He switched his thrusters to operate at thirty-percent for now. Since his Zaku II Commander-Type was meant to be faster so it can command it's troops more effectively it had stronger thrusters than an average Zaku. Upon approaching this signal Char couldn't see anything. Perhaps he was just too far away. Well with no radars working then it was like fighting in a field of Minovsky Particles. It just adds to this migraine inducing trip back to Side 3. Char did consider the fact that it could be an ambush so he gripped his machine gun and prepared to fire it in case he did run into trouble. And then ........ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next thing the Red ace knew was he was no longer in space. for some odd reason he was back on Earth? Wait he traveling in space with that second rate commander of his. He was but yet an days trip from Side 3. There could be no way he was anywhere close Earth. Maybe he was inside a colony and that is what the signal was coming from. Then again he didn't reach the signal unless he was moving a perfect trajectory to enter that colony. Which was a very unlikely story in anyone's eyes. Then what the heck happened and where was he? Speaking of his trajectory he better deactivate his thrusters before he collides with something. It's not like they were doing much since there seems to be some sort of gravity in the air. Whether it was artificial or not it was still weighing down his mobile suit and it was simpler if he let himself fall. As he was approaching the ground he used his thrusters to softly land himself before he noticed three other units. From a visual perspective they seemed like odd suits. They looked like no Zeon suit he had ever seen. Could it be possible that the Federation had access to mobile suits. Well if we could do it then why not them? Either way their design seemed a bit funky to Char, especially their head piece. Char wasted no time approaching them. "My name is Lieutenant Char Azrael of Zeon, identify yourselves." He ordered.
