Well they know, yeah. People likely don't [i]understand[/i] Mr. Black, but they probably have some vague idea as to the nature of Mr. Black's existence, given that he lives there. About as much as the average Fable would know about anyone else in Fabletown, which from what I recall isn't all that much unless you're someone like Snow or Flycatcher.
