Alex watched from his prone position as the officer fled down the alleyway and into the street. He was quickly back on his feet and invisible again. Just as he was about to follow the officer down the alley, the shriek of some sort of bird of prey caused him to look up. A metal clad bird was circling, and Alex couldn't make a break for it without alerting it, whether with his heat signature, or his footsteps. [i][color=dimgray]"I swear I will make that bastard doctor eat one of these damn robots."[/color][/i]

Alex instead ran to the window which Taryn attacked the cyborg dog from. With a jump, he clambered up through the window and back into the factory. He reappeared in front of Taryn with what he hoped was a convincing grin. [b][color=dimgray]"You saved my life. I think I owe you one."[/color][/b] Suddenly, a loud shriek nearly deafened Alex, his sensitive ears ringing. The cybernetic bird had found its way into the building, and was going on the offensive.

Clutching his ears, Alex shouted at the bird, [b][color=dimgray]"You damn bird! I'll carve you up!"[/color][/b] One hand went from his ear to his waist, and Alex drew his dagger.
