The Boy & The Demon

'Watch Out, Careful... Listen to our warning... The Shadows of this tower hides the echos of darker shadows within themselves... Others are here invited and others not... They all come from many places no one of them the same... Two like you who follows our ways and others who can use the many arcane arts... Careful, beware of the Mage of Old, his eldritch powers can keep the strongest of us away... The prince is the hidden card to us, the tower protects him, beware of his powers... Listen to us and heed our warning... Danger surrounds you, Beware!"
Mercutio listened to the silent whispers in the corner of his mind, the voices were dull and quiet as if drowned off in the background noise ever since entering the tower. The voices clearly were focused on telling him that something about this tower was definitely stranger than what the two had hypothesized but so far they haven't told him to leave yet. Meaning it was a good sign for him to continue walking down the halls and exploring with no real concerns. He had picked up several stray books and have been carrying some in his spare hand while another was holding an open book as he read it. Flipping the page every so often, taking the information slowly re-reading it twice before the next page went over. "If there are this many books, there should be a library around here. Besides, there has been a lot of stray books laying about, maybe we can go put them back?" Mercutio said to Fenox who relatively didn't care, still in his rib-cage form keeping his eyes out for anything suspicious. The two continued walking down the hall, before turning down at the end, reaching a wooden door which was slightly cracked open. The two of them have been wandering the halls for quite a bit now, knowing that they have been passing through the same hallways time after time, however this time it seemed like something changed. The door, was briskly opened by Mercutio which was revealed to be a library with people inside already, interesting. Looking at those who were inside the library the other visitor it seemed were definitely a interesting bunch like the voices inside his head said they were. Moving aside, a Deer-like man passed him and Mercutio stared at the man for a second before entering in the room silently closing the door behind him. Not caring whether or not Fenox who was still covering him inside the rib-cage shield, would reverted back into nothing, he carried on and began to stack his collected books on top of the empty table where no one occupied it. Looking at them briefly before separating them and inspecting them individually, before putting them away after he was done. Along the way of putting away the books, he picked up a couple of a few books that caught his interest and brought it back to his lonely table. Sitting down, he began to indulge inside the books that he had brought to the table mostly being about the binding of demons and occult magic. Meanwhile, Fenox didn't feel like reverting into his more flexible form as this tower intimidated him now he was inside, and since he didn't want to explore alone he might as well then stick close to Mercutio, who didn't mind. But their search for answered were near futile as nothing seemed to be much of a discovery, most of them being review on the basic that they knew. "Bah, these books just tell us the basics of what you already know, can't you find something else that's locked up and tucked away? Something with more shade thrown on it to make us want to investigate?" Fenox whispered in is master's head as he watched Mercutio read the books, with none of the contents being anything new. Deciding that their search was futile, they began to leave the library before Fenox yelled partially before being cut off. "Wait! Sto-" By the time he finished saying 'Stop', the two of the already were whisked away to another room... The first thing they saw was yours truly the prince.

The Red Knight
Korthul was bored as he was looking out of his window for some time now, his patience was beginning to wear off now but a silent stirring could be felt through out the tower. Looking at the walls, he thought of them shifting slightly warping but that must have a trick of the eye, surely? Deciding to investigate, the half-orc took a step and opened his door looking outside looking both down and up the hallway before entering his room again. Turning around, Korthul was met with an unexpected surprise of a hallway instead of his room and looking back to the door was now a dead-end. 'Great a tower which can be served as a labyrinth, I guess this is how the prince is going to meet with us then.' Korthul thought before beginning to walk down the new hallway. Honestly, this was quiet frightening but he didn't show it as he walked down halls looking forward and never back. Afraid of what he may see behind him inside this hallway with only him in it. Pushing back the impulsive thoughts that was beginning to appear, he continued forward at an increased pace waiting for the time it will stop at the desired destination.
