In a matter of minutes, the areas between trees were covered in pools of fizzling acid and the corpses of Marlbo baby corpses. The area would carry a foul stench for months, much like the party who would be at the mercy of that smell for a long distance. Their triumph over this hoard of invasive creatures would quickly become known as the forest around them lacked the sinister atmosphere. Where grass was still growing, the runners fed. Their riders were making their way through the forest again, this time at a more leisurely pace due to the constrain of the terrain. Thick trees were pillars of the deepening forest. Between them other plants tried to survive and some flourished while others had to be more crafty. The moogle observed a large plant that looked like a big bucket with a round bottom. A frog on a tree hoped into the water inside but the plant reacted in an instant, closing its lips and sealing the frog inside. "EW!" The seemed to be the only reaction the moogle had in this forest. Ahead of the Party Koji was the scout, looking out for creatures like the Molboroba and more Marlbo babies. On the opposite side of the party was Cassius who was a good distance behind them. This formation allowed them to move through the forest and be warned about threats coming from in front and behind them. The only incidents so far was a report from the eastern warrior. Heading back to the party with the knowledge of what's ahead, he would need to try mastering the language if wanted to properly describe the scene ahead.
The forest was hot like an oven, humid like swimming in water, and various aromas carried creatures into the poison petals of flowers. However in the heart of this jungle was a monument of nature's creation, perhaps of a Primal's doing. A large nest was made in the center of a huge tree which was nearly as wide across as the Navire Court Room. It lifted it branches far above the other tree's highest point, but yet it could not be seen from the ground level as the fight over sunlight would block out the sky and inhibit the view of those trying to look up. However, the eastern warrior was moving from within the canopy. He saw the tree and could report its location. What would he say and how would the party react to the giant tree?
