Since everyone else was playing the hero, Beth cursed and jumped down from the window, back into the building. More mechanized monstrosities were coming, and that meant that a Veiss wasn't far behind. They really needed to leave. One of them was some kind of bird, and it was shooting darts around, trying to hit the run-down experiments. Beth moved to stand between it and Taryn and Alex. The needles hit her, but nothing appeared to happen. When she pulled them out of her skin the holes closed up immediately, and she could feel the unmistakable tingle that meant that her little "pals" were going to work. It was a good thing it was the robot loving Veiss, because Viktor wouldn't have tried using tranqs on her. "We need to go," she said, moving to continue standing between the strafing eagle and her companions, "We should have gone two minutes ago!"
