In the books the characters have minor things like they were a bit of an attention whore or a little antisocial. One was actually bipolar, but the vast majority of them had been recommended Lyle House because the doctor who did the recommending knew they were a supernatural creature. 

Having really.. .   umm. . .  major mental illnesses in the group might make things hard for me to plot at times >_<
