Rubbing his face in frustration, "damn it!" He knew he should have kept it to himself. His hand now in a fist as he gazed at his lap. "You don't believe me and I should have suspected that." His voice flat steely trying to keep himself safe from hurt once more. His nails digging into his palm. "I'll find a way up to my apartment it'll be no big deal." He let out a breath, now he would keep to himself going back to his old ways, staying quiet his gaze going from Sam to his lap. He had told her his biggest secret and she didn't believe him like so many others he had told in his long life they didn't believe him either. Letting out a breath, he took the meds before resting into his pillows. He got as comfortable as he could on his back. Staring at the ceiling, taking as deep a breath as he could with his ribs. He shut himself in again going back to his old habits. James knew it was hard to believe, he would probably not believe himself either, but with his life barely anything wasn't hard to believe anymore.
