Sapphire Rode - Beacon Academy
Sapphire turned slightly pink when Abel referred to her and Oswald spending time together as a 'date' before he departed. Sure Oswald was reasonably good looking in a rugged sort of way but she was not in any way looking for that sort of relationship. Fact was she likely would barely be able to hold together a casual friendship. The most she was hoping for was that if they hit it off she would gain a fighting partner. This definitely wasn't a date. Sapphire was broken from her thoughts as Robert oblivious to what had been going through her head tried to verbally discern exactly what an exhibitionist was. Sapphire's momentary embarrassment vanished completely as her sure footed attitude along with an incredulous smile replaced it. She nearly laughed as Robert went through his mental logic out loud and finally gave up on figuring it out. If she'd been the one lacking information she'd have bluffed her way through it and looked the subject up later on in private. Robert was apparently much less closed off even about his own naivety. Moments later he too took his leave and Sapphire decided that now was a good time to do as she had planned earlier and have breakfast. She enjoyed waffles and copious amounts of whipped cream and brown sugar before deciding that perhaps she should bring her fiddle along for the day's festivities. If they were going to the Music Box than chances were Uncle Danny would expect her to play a song or too. If she really pushed he wouldn't force her to play but he had a way of savoring her music that Sapphire had never seen in her father. Sapphire returned to the dorm to fetch it before going out. It occurred to her that in order to play she'd have to remove the white gloves that she always wore. They looked a little out of place with the outfit she wore today fitting in better with her battle gear but Sapphire really didn't want to expose her hands to the sight of others. No doubt her team and a couple others had noticed the scars that ran over her palm and a couple of her fingers but it wasn't something that she was keen to show off. She didn't really fancy Oswald seeing them but she wasn't going to great trouble to hide them. If he saw them... well she was well practiced in the art of deflecting questions. With her battered fiddle case strung over her shoulder Sapphire decided to walk the halls for awhile. Beacon had a most beautiful campus and a week was hardly enough to explore it thoroughly. No doubt in time she'd find all the school's secrets for a place this old had to have many but for now getting to know the layout was enough. After several minutes of walking Sapphire stumbled on Beacon's agricultural building. Mostly it was used to grown the organic foods the kitchens used but if a student requested it they were allowed to have a portion sectioned off to act as a garden. Sapphire was aware that Gren had a such a plot and so was unsurprising to see him through the glass of the building. He however wasn't the only one inside. There was someone else in the room with the boar. It was a girl with startlingly red hair and pale skin. The cloak she wore was grey with streaks that complimented her hair. Sapphire had never seen her before, she must be new to the school. Sapphire glanced between the two of them before realizing that Gren was slightly flushed. Admittedly it was hard to tell with his particular brand of faunus and through the glass of the house but Sapphire was fairly certain that he was much more crimson than normal. That could of course be due to heat but Sapphire got the impression that it was for a completely different reason. Smirking slightly Sapphire decided that walking in on this scene while more then likely amusing would probably make her late to meet Oswald at the airdocks. With that in mind Sapphire left the boar faunus to his romances.
