Mithias, much like Kami, wielded two blades. Dual wielding such a weapon required one not only to be ambidextrous, but to move in a very particular way. Maintaining both offense and defense, as dual blades flashed before him. Of course, having lost the advantage of his suit, Kami was significantly slower than Mithias. But his advantage lay in his prodigal mind. His natural skill and experience in the art of murder, that allowed him to dodge even bullets. Even as Mithias stepped forward, Kami had already read his movements. A slight of hand, based on the expectations of fighting a mere human opponent.
Kami sidestepped, shifting his weight as Mithias moved to compensate. One blade sliced for his head, but was easily countered. Kami didn't use his katana as Mithias had expected, but rather used the cuff of his gauntlet. Pushing Mithias' right sword down and left, forcing it into the way of his second attack whilst inflicting only minimal damage to Kami's specialized armour. It also left Mithias wide open, and only the vampire's supernatural speed saved his life in that instant.
Kami's blade passed through Mithias' torso, dealing what would have been a fatal wound to any mortal opponent. Had Mithias not managed to dodge sideways, the blade would have severed his head from his neck. Now the cut had simply sliced off part of his lungs, which were rapidly closing once more. The wound wouldn't even slow down the vampire, but it had served as a demonstration. Even without great speed, the legendary vampire slayer was not to be messed with. It was his skill that had allowed him to face vampires in melee even before he was granted this suit, and even now he was a deadly opponent.
Kami stood back, as Mithias would contemplate his next attack. His greatest advantage lay in his ability to instantly read his opponent's moves, an advantage he would lose if he were to press the offensive. His only hope was to hold off his opponents until SOLDIER reinforcements arrived, or he was somehow able to get in a lucky strike.
