The Edge of the Forest
Ishmael put away his sword and then climbed back onto his horse helping Ceceria back up onto the horse. He sighed and mumbled. "That girl is going to get us killed or herself one of these days." He said. How can one survive in the world with out knowing the world. IT was pretty obvious to them that that thing meant danger to all of them. Yet there she was trying to pet it. Did her father teach her anything or did she just ignore it all. He rode up close to Regallia and then looked at Inyata. " Do not, do that again if you value your life, that was no damned puppy that you could pet. That was a were wolf. I have had to slay a few of those beasts in my time and I have seen the carnage they leave in the wake..... your lucky he just ran off. He could have easily torn you into ribbons." He then looked to Regalia.
"I thought Daniel was a handful,... looks like you got yourself one too" He said. He nodded to her words in agreement. "Beside getting back on schedule we need to vacate this area before that thing decides to come back." He said and continued forward. Daniel was speechless at how zealous they all were. Willing to fight down a were wolf without the use of silver weapons. Well the pirate lady, the older one, looked like she had silver weapons. He then looked to the young pirate and gulped. "You know what,... I am glad I had common sense taught to me. My father told me that not every creature was full of love and daisies and that some creatures are just best avoided.... " He said. He could not believe how stupid one could be. He was not the best member in the group, probably right there on the bottom of the list, but at least he did not try to pet a were wolf. He gulped once more and looked away.
Ceceria giggled and even pulled her eyelid down at Inyata. "You foolish girl, your going to get yourself killed one of these days." She said shaking her head. "Your lucky we were all here to try and protect you. I would almost shiver at the idea of what would have happened if we weren't... " She said gasping in false concern. Once more Inyata failed to impress her. This woman was foolish and stupid. She meet some stupid people in her life time but not this stupid.
The Deep Forest
Sitting on a log in the deep parts of the forest was a orc with heavy make shift armor. It was a odd mix of different types of metals and plates. Like he scavenged good parts of of damaged armor and put them together. The orc had a massive scar on his left side and a chipped tooth. He was cooking one of the residents of the forest on a spit over a fire. The color and light of the fire danced upon his features. Then he heard something run past and get caught in one of his traps. He smiled and got up picking up the most gruesome looking axe you would every think of and went to go see what he had caught. What he found was a were wolf hanging from a tree with a large rope tied to his ankle. The lycanthrobe struggled to get free and growled at the orc as he approached.
"Oohhh I never ate a werewolf before, I wonder how it tastes....." He said.
"You idiot you can only kill me with a silver weapon... that thing wont do shit...." The lycan barked. Gorgamesh looked to the axe and then to the werewolf and smirked. "Yeah,... I no idiot, me not stupid. But me know not even a immortal like yourself can survive if his head is cut off....." He said. The were wolf went wide eyed and began to struggle out of the rope even more. He even began to whimper as the orc rose his axe up over his head. The lycan swung out trying to keep the craze orc away but was not successful as his claws seemed to do nothing to the make shift armor. The orc swung and the axe hit home. The body of the lycan went limp as his head hit the forest floor. The orc struck the axe into the ground and lowered the lycan's body. Sure enough the lycan didn't begin to regenerate. Once the body hit the floor he took out his carving knife and began cutting away and into the lycan. He seperated the meet from the fur and began sticking them on a drying wrack and then worked on the fur. He cleaned it by dipping it in a little pond close by and then removed his arm and began to get to work. "Just in time too,... close to winter it is, needed new fur to keep me warm. You come along and solve all me problems." He said rather pleased. He began to weave and sow it into his armor making it warm and cozy. Making it winter ready. Once most of his armor was done and upgraded he moved to the lycan's head and did the same. Yanking one of the eye balls out and sucking the juices out.... "Oh yes ye going to taste really good in my belly."
He began to combine the lycan's head with his helmet making him almost look like a viking beserker almost or one of those snowcloaks from the skyrim video game. He smiled at his handy work rather pleased with himself and rose up to look at it. He then sat back down cooking up some of the meat to eat now while the rest hung over on a drying rack to make jerky from it. He was an odd orc. His speech was a bit off at times and he was a bit crazed in the head. So crazed in the head that his tribe kicked him out. Afraid of him hurting them. He was not stupid though. He knew how to survive and to live off the land. All his weapons and armor were crafted by him and him alone. Taking it from bits and pieces belonging to anyone who dared challenge him. Once the were wolf kabob looked good enough to eat he rose it up from the fire took a deep breath and blew into it and shoved about half of it in his mouth and began chewing. He heard a crunch and reached in his mouth to pull out a bone. "Oops missed one" He said and tossed the bone aside.
The Mountain Fortress
Nova looked about the place wondering if she would ever get out of here. She was hoping that her father would find out where she was and send a detachment to the location. These people were not smart, with the vampire being the only intelligent being she knew so far. They would slip up some where and get attention drawn onto them. She just hoped it would be soon. She did not know how long this Vampire would keep her here. He seemed to be fond of her blood and she looked around. "Are you there?... just release my legs I wont escape. The walls in here are too thick for me to blast through with magic....Plus it has been nearly three days and I need to pee really really bad." She said.
The vampire seemed to appear as she spoke. "You promise you won't try and escape?" He asked. She rolled her eyes.
"Did you hear what I said?... I can't escape, I know this place. The walls were built to withstand the greatest of seige machines. My strongest spell would do more harm to me then good." She said. Now if she bothered to listen when her teachers tried to teach her teleportation she would as soon as he undid the chains. He nodded surprisingly and unlocked the chains. She rose up and almost fell over. Her form falling onto the vampire.
"Sorry,... after sitting for so long there my legs have fallen asleep." She said, not really caring or anything she just didn't want this guy to get the wrong idea. Once she got feeling back into them she looked for a spot in the room. She finally found some sort of bucket and sighed. She moved over to it and then looked at him. "You can go now,... some privacy please?" She said and the vampire nodded and with that disappeared into the shadows. She unhooked her belt and dropped over the bucket. She wasn't lying she did have to pee. She then sighed wondering how in the hell she was going to get out of this.... the only thing she could do was wait it out. "No offense dread lord but... you picked a pretty stupid clan to use as your thralls. The Thousand Horses would have been a better choice, or the Dead wind Bandits.... no you picked the black moon clan....." She said. She swore she could hear laughing. Apparently he agreed. "I guess you just got to work with what you were given I suppose. I suppose I am safe here,... also don't take so much blood at one time. That first one made me a little dizzy."
She would have to play the waiting game. Someone would come for her, and someone will save her. She just hoped whoever it was, was ready to fight a vampire.
