The “ah crap” was a classic Peter response and she couldn’t help but grin as he stumbled away from her trying to get to the stove in time. Her attention turned back to the little table where he had set up the dinner date for the two of them. Her fingers danced along the picture frame once again, they had come so far, gone through so much and watched each other grow; it was only time before they fell into each other’s arms and never wanted to let go. Though, unlike most teenagers, they dealt with a lot more then high school drama. But being an average person was completely overrated. She was about to sit down in the seat before she looked over at Peter when he said he had big news. It stopped her in mid sit when he said that the Bugle had hired him. “What? Really?!” She responded in an excited shot as he brought the plates over and the two of them took their seats. “That’s amazing Peter!” She said with excitement in her voice, “Just remember, ponies take a lot to look after.” A giggle left her as she started into the food. Upon hearing the question of how her day was and about her uncle she couldn’t help but laugh. “He has an ability to tell a lot about a person without actually seeing them. So yeah, he knows you’re not a football playing quarterback but he did make it very clear that you really like me.” Her blue gaze shot to him with a small wink. “Though he did grill me with questions, how we met, what we typically do together and things of that nature. I’m sure hearing you got a job would be a nice addition to the ‘why is this guy dating my niece’ list that he seems to be making.” Giving a small shrug she threw a tater tot into her mouth, chewed and swallowed before looking back at him. “Aside from that and getting Uncle Matt settled into the house there wasn’t much excitement going on with me today. Tell me how the story of the Daily Bugle came about!”
