Okay, here's Ian with a less OP skill set, and I decided to shift up a bit. Also, I'll change his backstory once we're sure that he's the only viable choice, but I want to ask if nay other old hands on the previous RP want to give a shot. If no one takes the offer, than I'll have to age up Ian a bit and change his backstory. And probably his appearance as well.
Name: Ian Alias: Blitz, Speed Demon Age: 22, but he feels a bit older due to the stress of having a public image to maintain. Affiliation: Heroes Faction: Reformist Faction occupation: Recruiter, Poster-boy, and part of the group responsible for helping ease tensions between humans and Meta-humans. Appearance: Powers: Speed Demon: Ian's ability is all about making him the definition of speed, and he's learned to channel his powers into certain sets so as to better control his various abilities. Ian can be in use of one set at any time, and in order to use another set, he needs to have some time to refocus his abilities. Ian also forms a shield of energy around himself that protects from the hazards that are associated with hi-speed movement. Speed Set: This set has 3 stages to it and is all about moving fast. At stage one, he can move so fast he becomes just a blur, but he has to move in a straight line. This allows him to easily build up momentum to land devastating blows at high speeds, but is still block able by skilled individuals. Once you figure out he can only move in straight lines, his movements are easier to predict, but the thing is that you have only a moment to try and stop him before he uses his abilities to launch himself elsewhere. In Stage two, however, he moves a lot faster, so fast that he can't even be seen and he's no longer constricted to movement in a straight line. However, this also means that his attacks will have less physical power to them, as he will end up losing momentum. To combat this, he usually begins using his knives at this stage. Stage 3 is the fastest he can move, so fast that it can be counted as teleportation, in which he enters a form of sped world where everything seems to slow down around him to a crawl. This ability, however, is taking as hell, so he can only do it about 5 times at anytime, and he can only stay in it for as long as he can hold his breath, which isn't that long in the speed world, about 10 to 30 seconds. Afterwards, he'll be rather weakened for a small amount of time, unable to speed away as he tried to recover himself. In order to advance in stages, he must build up energy in the internal motor that runs his power, which he achieved by unleashing a lot of attacks on a foe. Vibration Set: This set allows Ian to channel his ability into the movement of molecules he touches, allowing him to create intense vibrations. This allows him to give his attacks the added danger of scrambling an opponents insides a little, causing them anything from a bit of nausea to internal bleeding if they are subjected to it for long enough. He can even vibrate the air around him, as long as it's within a 5 meter radius. While this is less likely to harm someone, it will cause intense pain as their skin is slowly ripped apart by intense vibration. The rips aren't large, but enough of them can become a problem, as a person could very likely bleed to death from the blood loss. Works especially well on armored or especially dense individuals, as their own armor can be used against them, as it's density means even more violent vibrations. Velox Pugno: This variant focuses all of the ability onto his limbs, allowing him to unleash a barrage of powerful punches in the span of a second. He can do the same with his legs, even making it so that they come from various directions, and the opponent has only a few moments of time to react before getting pummeled by a rain of nearly endless blows. The strength of each one is enhanced due to how fast they are coming, but, he can't move while he's attacking, so unless he has someone watching his back, he's in danger of getting attacked by another foe from behind. Ablego: This final variant allows Ian to 'gift' his ability to others, but without the shielding or control. He basically touches someone, things of a direction, and they will be sent flying in that direction until they hit something solid. The Stage of sped he send s them at decides the damage. If he were to launch someone at speed one, they'd be sent flying, hit something hard, and likely be in an extreme amount of pain. At stage two, their will be harsh abrasions on any exposed skin, clothes are likely to catch fire, and impact with any substance can break bones upon contact with a solid object. In stage three, you're dead the moment he touches you, but he can only use that twice, maybe three times and it takes a few minutes(1-2 posts) to charge up this attack. Also, Ian has to touch you for it to take affect, and since his speed in any set but his speed set is only enhanced and not superhuman, his touch can easily be avoided. Kinetic Lift: This allows him to basically walk on air, or to be more precise, walk on a construct made of air. A limited form of telekinesis, it's a power he has down so well, it's instinctual by now, and that's good since they only last for an instant. Skills: Parkour, Acrobatics, Knife wielding, Knife thorwing, Crack shot, Graffiti Artist, Pickpocket, Thief, Jack-of-all-trades Equipment: Nano gauntlets, made by some weapon's company, that allows him to conjure an infinte number of knives of any variant, whether they be for throwing, cooking, or fighting. Mini-Oxygen tank: A special maskthat has mini tablets inside that are filled with an oxygen enriched liquid and energy stimulant, allowing him to last longer in the speed realm before he passes out. Background: He was an average teen turned mercenary, filling his life with thrills and crimes ever since he discovered his powers. No place was safe from him for long, not unless it had the best security that there was. . . and sometimes he even got past that. To him, life was all about the thrill and nothing else, but even with that being said, he'd had a very strict rule for himself: no killing. He didn't care who or what his foe was, he wouldn't kill them, not unless they had him backed into a corner, and so far, nobody had been able to do that.
