History (Pre-Incident): Born in the Deep South to poor white farmers young Hector was the middle child in a particularly large family; being a premature birth, Hector spent his  formative years as the "runt of litter"  becoming an easy target for his much larger siblings and his drunkard father. His particular situation allowed an uncontrollable sea of rage to brew underneath his frail exterior and first introduced him to the concept that might made right; his mother sensing the turmoil within the boy tried to direct him towards religion, but this only led the lad to zealotry.  His childhood pastor a fiery orator frequently preached that God required a vanguard of good young men to fight the hordes of lustful degenerates serving Satan; worse yet the pastor frequently mentioned an eventual cleansing of the filth of the world through "holy war". 

Once puberty set in Hector grew from a scrawny runt into a gargantuan young individual hell bent on revenge against his former tormentors; all who wronged him suffered at the ends of his fists...even his father. However, it turned out that mere revenge did not satisfy him; he decided to use his new found might to enforce his rigid moral standards on his family and peers. However, puberty brought to light the major contradiction that would haunt Hector for the rest of his life, his homosexuality; turns out that Hector had a little more than brotherly love for other men...fearing this attraction he attempted to suppress these dark urges, but to no avail. 

Unable to fully rid himself of these feelings; he enrolled himself in football as it allowed him not only social prestige, but allowed him to covertly enact voyeuristic pursuits. His sheer size and willpower made Hector an amazing linebacker and he led his high school team to the state championships three years in a row.  While, many colleges offered the rising star lucrative scholarships, he chose to play football for West Point while pursuing a military oriented  education. While not a particularly bright student, Hector managed to graduate as a second lieutenant in Army where his extreme dedicated allowed him to slowly move up the ranks until he reached the rank of  Three-star Lieutenant General. 

What hindered his progress in the armed forces was Hector's extremely conservative borderline fascist ideology; in sharp contrast to official Army policy Hector was outspoken with his political views and frequently criticized liberal policies in the media.

 What propelled Hector Williams into the national and international spotlight was the 2017 Presidential order discharging the firebrand from the military and stripping him of his rank for allegedly indoctrinating subordinates with reactionary political opinions; Hector vociferously opposed the President in the press and gained sympathy from many. This sympathy would have been short-lived, but the 2017 Marxist Revolution in Greece and the subsequent formation of a "worker's state" set off leftist revolutions across the globe with Mexico, Italy, and even France falling to Communist revolutionaries by 2021; the aforementioned events coupled with Anti-Revisionists seizing full control of the Chinese Communist Party in 2018 and ushering in a "Second Cultural Revolution" in order to dismantle State Capitalism lead to a surge of rightist counter-revolutionary organizations to emerge. 

In the United Sates Hector Williams who transitioned from a disgraced general to a political radio host was among the first to capitalize on the fear of proletariatization and help set up a paramilitary force determined to use violent means to combat the supposed "red tide"; usually under police protection these armed hooligans broke strikes and dismantled peaceful assemblies. By 2021 the D.A.M.'s membership numbers ranges in the millions. 

It is during the 2017-2021 period where Hector Williams became associated with Pierre Athene, a shadowy lobbyist vying for more power; Hector despite his hostility to Washingtonian insiders was lured under Athene's thumb through carefully crafted  manipulation and has become universally known within political circles as "Athene's Mad Dog". While Pierre weaves policy in the shadows, Hector and his organization have been reduced to acting as a visual representation of Pierre's strength. Hector sees Pierre not only as a benefactor, but as a friend much to the later's chagrin.
