[/quote]Well, I have three different ideas:
1.) Blank Slate. I'm unaware of the new world and send out explorers.
2.) Blank Slate + time. I have scouted out the world a bit and may have made some minor contacts.
3.) Historical Insert. My nation would be known to anyone not living under a rock. So would my nation be aware of the others.

The first two may lead to some fun revelations and mistakes based on the lack of information. Downsides is that we're right in the middle of a war so exploring the world would be rather strange.
The third option skips this phase and would make Yllendthyr an active player in the war. Like I said before I always intended to see how fun would be my elves in an authentic WW2 setting. My only remorse about this plan that I'd be missing the confused expressions at seeing elves or Yllendthyr being shocked that Africa is only a host for minor third world countries (they were implied to have a role similar to Europe in my alternate reality setting).
