Here we go, a small post introducing a new character. Here's the CS for it because someone still hasnt updated the CS page after a week.

Real Name: Kára Raskstål Gender: Female Age: 16 Appearance:
Kára is standing tall at 6’1. She was trained to be a warrior, so that is reflected on her physique. This means that she is not like the average girl interms of her muscle tone. That being said, she doesnt have a massive bulk either. She’s strong and you’ll instantly see that, but it’s not like you’re looking at a bodybuilder or anything like that. Kára has blonde, nearly golden hair which she almost always braids with alot of effort put into it. A very striking feature are Kára’s bright blue eyes and because of the colour they almost seem like two sapphires. A final striking feature are the Norse styled tattoos along Kára’s back, arms and legs. Kára does not have alot of clothing which she brought from home so she usually tends to wear stuff which originates from Midgard. That being said, she does have a limited wardrobe with her “own” clothes. These are mostly either based around animal furs, leather or just cloth. She does like her fur skirt alot though. Although it’s not really that fashionable… But she doesnt care about that.
Power Set:
-Superstrength, max load: 1500kg. A big car. Nothing more to say about it to be honest. -Flight. Kára grows forth large white eagle-like wings from her back. With these she can propel herself into the sky and fly at high speeds, though she wont be able to even come close to the sound barrier. These wings are very strong and pretty heavy, essentially making them weapons on their own. They’re also rather thick, so they’ll be able to be used as a shield to protect Kára from harm. -Himinnskjöld. Himinnskjöld is the name of Kára’s shield. It was crafted Brokkr and his brother to provide Kára with great protection. It is said to be unbreakable and able to absorb any force thrown at it. This is not completely true. Although the shield will atleast absorb the shock of most attacks, some will be able to get through. Largely radiation based attacks and mental attacks. And the shield is ofcourse completely reliant on it’s wielder. Weighing in at 100kg it’s not really something you’d call light and it’s magic will only work when carried by Kára, to anyone else it’ll just be a normal, really heavy, shield. As a side note: Kára’s other weapons are also crafted by Brokkr and his brother. However, besides looking really nice and never becoming dull, they dont have any special properties. They also just weigh the same as their steel equivalants. -Alfrigg. Alfrigg is a raven following Kára where ever she goes. He was send with Kára by her mother to make sure that she would have a guide and protector on Midgard. Alfrigg also serves as a messenger between Kára and her home. He is also the only one with access to her armour, though retrieving it might take a while, thus it’s not usefull when Kára is already in a fight.
Other Skills:
-Great fighter. Since birth Kára has been trained by her mother and aquaintances for armed combat, considering what her future role would have been she would have needed alot of expertise in this field. Her shield is a central part of her way of fighting, usually acompanied by a long-bearded axe or a viking sword, sometimes even a dane axe, though she does not have that with her to the academy. She is also adapt with a bow and arrow, though she is not a great marksman with it. If the target’s big enough or sits still she’ll hit it, but is it small and moving… Well, that’s a wasted arrow. -Glíma. Kára is an expert in glíma which makes her quite adept at handling herself, even when unarmed. -Skilled survivalist. Kára is well known in how to survive in hostile environments, especially in arctic enviroments. She is able to quickly set up shelters and also able to hunt effectively. Her cooking skills are… average at best though. -Has a great historical knowledge.
Weaknesses:
-Mere human. Ignoring the superstrenght and the wings, Kára’s body is just the same as that of normal humans. She does not have any heightened durability or anything along those lines. This means that a cut from a blade does the same to her as with anyone else for instance. She also cant function without sleep or food, just like a normal human. -Not the most educated. Although she has a great knowledge about history and sagas aswell as with combat methods, that’s pretty much the extend of her knowledge. Math, biology, physics… They’re all gonna be hard for her to get around to do.
Personality:
Kára is a girl driven by a lust for glory and fame, but also of curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. All of which makes her a fearsome warrior who is dedicated to her cause. However, she will always think before she acts and will almost never go in head first. Kára is deeply religous, often asking the gods for guidance and strength. When she achieves something great she will always thank the gods, for it was through their aid that she was able to achieve it. Kára also embodies the grim fatalism of her people, in that she fully believes and submits to the will of the gods and to the fate that was spun for her. As a result, Kára will often go into battle without second-thought, for her fate is already decided. Kára abides by the Nordic ideals of courage, as well. She is brave in battle, and respectful to worthy adversaries. Kára also keeps to her word without fail, even when it would disadvantage her. She is also very protective to anyone who has earned her respect or friendship and is willing to lay down her life to protect them.
Backstory:
Born a long time ago in a place far from Midgard, Kára Raskstål did not have an easy childhood. Originally born as Kára Herjasdatter, she never knew her father and all she knows about him is that he was a great warrior once. Kára did not really miss her father that much though, as she got more then enough attention from her mother Herja. Herja wanted her daughter to follow into her footsteps. This required Kára to be drilled mercilessly into martial combat from her birth. But she did not just get combat training, she was also taught of the Æsir and the Vanir and the sagas surrounding them, aswell as being taught of Yggrdrasil and it’s great importance in the universe. It wasnt all just boring seriousness however, as Kára was also allowed to feast in the great halls where her mother sometimes brought guests from Midgard. Although she was still very young, it did not matter much and she was liked amoung the people there for her curiosity and fiery spirit. During Kára’s training people noticed how fast her swings were. People could barely follow the blade of the axe she wielded. As a result people started to call her “Raskstål”, or fast steel. It was clear that she had inherited her parents’ martial skills. But dont mistake her for just being good with a sword or an axe. She was also one of the best glíma students of her class, being able to overpower a great amount of the other students while also remaining mobile enough to dodge counter attacks. She remained humble through all of this however. She did not care for honours or glory. Well, that’s not exactly true. Her curiosity about Midgard overshadowed it greatly however. She had heard beautifull stories about the place. And not only that, she was 50% Midgardian herself, as her father came from it. She felt a burning desire to venture to it and explore that world. Her mother was initially against this. She thought her daughter to be too young to venture out on her own. But Alfrigg, an ancient friend of her, said that he would guide the Kára through it all aswell as protect her against the dangers lurking on Midgard. Herja was still not satisfied. The people of Midgard had been strongly againt their kind for the last couple of centuries. She feared that they would shun and persecute her daughter, as the people of Midgard had always done to things they dont understand. Alfrigg pointed out however that a new age had dawned in Midgard. An age of beings more powerfull then mere humans. They were revered as “superheroes” and acording to him Kára would fit in with them without any problem. Herja finally accepted. But on several conditions. Kára had to be trained another 4 years before she was allowed to go to Midgard. Herja also ordered equipment for her daughter by some of the greatest smiths of all the dwarfs. Brokkr did not dissapoint as he and his brother created a mighty shield which would stop any attack and made weapons which would never blunt or break. For the next 4 years Kára trained with these weapons under the guidance of Alfrigg and Herja. When she finally reached the age of 16 Kára was finally allowed to leave. As promised, Alfrigg would always be by her side. As part of a spell cast on him centuries ago Alfrigg would only appear as a raven when he was on Midgard. Though he was still able to communicate in normal tongue. After she left the rainbow bridge and entered Midgard she tried to communicate with the people there. There only was a slight complication… Kára wore full battle armour and her weapons with her. All the while she was drenched in animal blood, as this was poured over her in a ceremony to wish her a safe journey. Absolutely normal for Kára, not so much for the poor people she came across. And to make matters even worse, Kára did not understand the language these people spoke. Alfrigg tried to act as a translator but… Yeah, a talking raven didnt really improve anything. This immediately made the autorities aware of a “homicidal, blooddrenched, insane” girl with a talking raven. After taking her in custody and getting an expert in old mythologies Kára was able to tell her story to the autorities. The next few months she was taught basic English by Alfrigg as she was awaiting what the autorities would do. She kept up her martial training while being secluded and was fairly well liked by her custodians. Finally she recieved word that there had been made arangements for her to go to a place where her powers would be nurtured and where she would be given education about this world that the people here called “Earth”. What was this place? A school called Herculean Academy.
Quirks:
-Tends to missunderstand things said to her due to only being taught English for a couple of months. -Is deeply devoted to her gods and will practise her religion openly. -Can sing really well, though she only sings in Norse. -Has a horrible handwriting.
